Would not draw as much of a flag IF the car had not been said to had lots of paint work and IF the car had not had 4 previous owners and IF and IF and IF.
Car may be very nice. I dont know. We are just saying "BE CAREFUL"

In my opinion, with 10k miles, paint work, etc, $130k is no great deal. I know you agree with me on that Nardo

Completely agree!:cheers

as you are king of low ball offers! :biggrin Uh we offered the exact same thing for my Heritage car I bought so what does that make you...? lol??:wink
Sorry, had to bust your chops a little bit! :thumbsup

lol

The dealer is under a very tight deadline (tommorow) before the car moves on to somewhere else??? Also seems like a red flag...or is someone just in a duress situation and needs to get out? This one smells funny.

When did that change?

I thought it was, "Close early. Close late. Close often"?

There is definatly truth to this, but it must be on YOUR terms, not the sellers.

Look at this Blue in FL for $139K.

Shipping is ~$1K

Plenty of members here in FL that can look over/test drive

From the listing:

ALSO IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS CAR HAS REAR CONTROL ARMS THAT ARE BILLET ALUMINUM (1of250)

Interesting that only the rears have billet arms! I never had seen an car from the factory with mixed type of arms. If the front arms are not billet, I would have assume that they have been replaced at some time. If so, I would check the front end for repairs. Verify the VIN stickers on the front fenders.

Larry,
This sounds like my mother in law. She can't figure out why I 'need' so many cars! Blue and Black are faster!

Post #1 says the car's vin is 1FAFP90S76Y41623. It shouldn't HAVE billet 'arms on EITHER end, PERIOD.

In light of this, I'd check BOTH ends of the car for evidence of damage. No way those billets should be there at all & no way to know how/why they got there - or FROM where.

Just MHO.

The old "key" expaination is one of the oldest dealer tricks in the book. Anything that is not on Carfax can be explained away with the phrase:"The car was "keyed". I've heard it many times before.

Good catch EP. The back is more likely to have been repaired, but that doesn't precluded the front from also being suspect. This car is a good example of a "story" car. It must have a very interesting story, but know one seems to want to tell us what it is.

You're must be a very E-A-R-L-Y '05.

No. The only cars that have the billet 'arms are about the 1st 400 or so GT's made. All subsequent cars have the regular 'arms.

(Edit: In case you're wondering, that's because the FIRST cast arms that went on these cars were done via a new casting process that, in short, proved unsat. 'Long story short: Ford didn't want GT's on the road with those 'arms, so they went to 'owners like yourself & replaced the unsat 'arms with the billet units...at no small expense, I might add.:ack)
