I know some one who is looking at this car. It's a black 05
VIN= 1FAFP90S35Y401875
It appears to be the car from the Gumball rally. The cars is kind of rough. I would like to know if it's suffered any major damage that is not being disclosed.. If anyone has any info please PM me . Thanks Brian

...While in Salt Lake we wil be running the Salt flats. Would be cool if a few other GTs showed up...

It's not the cage or gutting of the car. That can all be reversed pretty easy. It's the Salt.

I would never run anything on Salt that I want to keep. It does not seam to matter what you do, this stuff makes it way into everything. You simply cannot get it all out. Any humidity or mositure and the salt becomes an active corrosive. It makes stuff fall apart from the inside out .

This IMO is the same as giving the car a salvage title. Some people just don't know or care about what toll it takes on a car.

Salt is for disposable cars IMO.

These two posts, if true, would be of some concern.

I know it had several radar detectors, jammers, scanners, etc. that were mounted and then removed. You can probably find videos of it when you GOOGLE "Torkenstein", which was the driver. I watched them about a year ago when it firstbecame available.

edit: make that "Torquenstein" not "Torkenstein"

If you click the pictures of the gadgets you can view their installation on this particular car: http://www.torquenstein.net/technology.htm

Nothing bad done under warranty Brian. Only dealer repair is replacement of a/c controls. The output shaft recall is still open on it. That's all I got.
