Hello guys, I just picked up my car on friday, white/blue stripes and am located in Coral Gables. I can't stop talking about this damn car! I am a lamborghini owner that was looking for a daily driver and I had decided on a used gallardo (I talk about it at length here http://www.lambo-power.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12565&highlight=). Needless to say after I saw the GT in person and drove it I forgot about the gallardo!

I'm glad I found a gt forum as I was getting a little tired of posting about the car in the lamborghini forum! How do I get the owners privaleges?

I love my lamborghini's! I won't post this over there but consider that I own an 01 6.0, 98 roadster and have owned a murcielago, a countach and others not to mention the various ferraris and porsches. THIS CAR PUTS THE OTHERS TO SHAME!

And allthough I never thought I would buy an American performance car, I somehow feel good about buying this car and the fact that its built in the U.S.A. I am scared to think what this car would do with a couple of hundred more HP!

Congratulations on the new GT! :cheers

I love the GT but I think the Gallardo makes a better daily driver. It has all those neat atims like a glove box, storage ares in the console, usable space behind the seats and (compared to the GT) a large trunk. Plus you can park right next to someone and still get in and out of the car.

These are the same reasons I gave my wife when I decided to keep my '04 Gallardo after I bought the GT :biggrin

Welcome to the Forum... I'm an ex Murcielago owner too, it's tricky to compare but, on balance, I much prefer the GT. I had pictures of the GT40 on my bedroom wall as a kid - so the desire for the car (which is about 30 feet from me as I write!) is profound.

Steve, do you have any shots of your Gallardo and GT together? I'll bet they look really interesting, one angular Italian and one curvacious beauty.

Ignoring how they drive for a moment, I think the Murcielago was an unusually beautiful car - I quite often just sat and looked at it after washing it! Sad huh?!

I haven't driven mine for weeks, the weather's just too nasty. :bored

Neilda - I have not had a chance to take any real photos of the GT. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend and I hope to take several shots of the GT along with a few other cars. I have this one on the office PC:
