Storm, Dougie and I were on the way, after coming home from Nick's college, at around 3 am, after many hours of going back and forth, 78 washed out , 81 wiped out, our 10 hour ride would have been 18 at least. So next time my friend , but at least we tried. Have you seen Mr Block lately I think he turn 41 miles on the gt:biggrin gtjoey1314

I had a few requests for some extra shirts...unfortunately it can be done but as the desired number would be much less than the original 52 shirts, the cost is greater. If I can get to 16 shirts it comes out to 16.80 per shirt plus s&h call it 20.00 per shirt. That is kind of steep if you ask me but that is the case with a low production request. PM me with sizes if interested. If I cannot get to 16 it would be too costly unless the few that did not get shirts because of limited size availability still want me to proceed despit ethe cost.

Stu, jeff is sleeping like a baby after his long gt drive today ,we spiked his coco........he will be up your way sometime late tomorrow afternoon...

Baby bear came across the LI sound by ferry and met at my house. Went out for a nice dinner, little coffeee in the morning, and he is on his way to finish off with RI,MA,ME,VT, and NH. Happy travels my friend.

Thanks Joey and Stu. It was just great to spend a few more hours with you both.
Did take the Cross Sound from Long Island to Conn. A beautiful late afternoon ferry ride - blue sky's, 72 degrees , slight breeze, calm waters. And of course the deck hands gave me a priority place to park the GT.
Word of caution - if you get a chance to visit RADGT, be aware the Key Rock Road -in a GT - on a very dark night - was 6 miles of being very nervous. Whew, was I glad to get to Stu & Pam's. Followed up by a very nice meal at their favorite country Inn. Thanks again Stu.
bte uncle Joey - you mixed up the socks! But they were clean, as was the GT. Thanks Buddy.
Had a good time visiting with Howie Lucas in Southold. I'm a rolling advertisement for Lucas Ford now. Hope I get a commission check.
For the record - one to go Vermont. The 48 will be completed this afternoon. and over the 80k mark Sunday. And only 3,300 miles to home.

Jeff, I may not be exactly on your way back and it would be very difficult to compete with New England hospitality but I can have a bed and chicken-fried steak waiting on you if you come thru Texas on your way back. Drive safely buddy.:thumbsup

Thanks Nardo. Great Offer and tough to pass up on it. But this "Young Man" is headed due west on either 70 or 90, with nearly 4 weeks living in the GT, I want to get back home, clean the GT plus do a few odds and ends, then get ready to play some golf in Palm Springs. Tough job but someone's got to do it.
