GTs at the Barn 2010

Thank you. For a number of reasons, I wanted a Patriot theme and Ford plus GT is the perfect platform. Rich and Dennis still have a few items left to add. After the Rally, the car will hit the road and make the rounds.

steve57, I went over that car and the GTGUYS did some job, there isnt a paint/tape line anywhere.....Sounds good too donny, any other mods?
We have one or 2 other pics tomorrow. Remember I told you we drove joe's real 289 ac cobra, plus Lee's gt40 hopefully if I can do it we might have the GREATEST GT40 VIDEO ever shown,:biggrin it would only be about 1 minute, but then going zero to 130 to zero doesnt take that long:biggr Im still using the oxygen mask as the fumes from that beast can over whelm fast......:eek sweet ride though.......the sound from both old chariots are next to none......guess cause they both had NO MUFFLERS , just straight exhaust.....hence those police shots......:thumbsup gtjoey1314

Can I ask, do you guys not have to display registration number plates on the front??

Steve, although some states require front plates, others don't. New York requires front plates. The reason I dont have a front plate might be the same for others........that the plate holder is still on back order from Ford........(wink,wink)

Just a quick mention of both Nardo, and Stars and Stripes...........I for one, and others were very grateful that you guys were able to make the Barn from all the way out west to NYC.

Nardo is exactly like when I saw it in LV, and checking Stars and Stripes, I really love the flow over the car...........

Thank you. Shelby and Eric did a great job adding heritage black to the yellow car. It draws attention like bees to honey and with no cats, is a blast to drive. Shelby also added powder coat to all the right places - SC, springs, wheels etc. Like it or not, it is impossible to ignore. :cheers

Thanks for the answer Red, my car has the plate placed with sticky pads on the front air intake grille, not ideal for airflow to the rads, but the previous owner could not bring himself to drill the front lip panel to bolt a plate, and I have not changed that. The car runs cool, only going above 180deg in town, which it would always do anyway. I was in France this summer though, and brought the GT to the Le Mans Classic, it was very hot there, 90 to 95deg most days, and even on the motorway the car never dropped below 195deg, so I pulled the plate for the duration of the trip, temp guage dropped right back to 180 while driving.
I guess there is no way around drilling the front for the plate holder!

So I get to GTJOE'S house to pick up Sonic Blue, and my red GT....................there he was, washing Stars n Stripes.............he said " I felt bad, there were some water spots, so I decided to clean it"...of course Sonic and my red GT were left, unattended, unloved , and filty dirty.......ya JOEY.....Thanks a lot.......................next time I'll bring a bubble............and thank Ellie for helping me wash my car.....now she is really nice!!!!!!!!

P.S. I have never driven a dirty car, It's just against my religion!!!!!!!!!!!!
