Right. I thought the R&T Test was basically unfair though, and so I also sent them a letter about it. I suspect they used some of the old test data from their Dec 2003 test of the GT prototype with 500HP. That's how they got those slow 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. By comparison most other magazines are in the 3.3 sec to 3.4 time area for the 0-60. Does this make a difference to me? YES, because what matters is the truth, not who is quickest or fastest. It's like giving the gold medal to the guy who comes in 4th because you like his sister. Frankly there is no comparison between the GT and the others IMHO. No other contemporary car stirs the soul like the GT. Unfortunately the damn thing attracts too much attention so parking & leaving it is a chore sometimes.
BTW my icon should say "Owner" (of a red 2006 with the lightweight wheels). How do I change that?
