Fuel line Safety for 2005/2006

Guys for all the new owners or old timers that just never got around to it.......
Our 05/06 fuel lines that run into the runners are PRESSED on.
Over the years the rubber gets weak and the fuel starts to weep!
Please take 3 minutes and get two clamps at the hardware store for 50 cents and secure the both hoses!
These pics are from original 1314 look at the residue around the base
This was my last car to do as it’s been sitting for a long time!

Dorman makes a little nicer clamp that has a bolt and it wont cut into the hose if tightened a little tight as they are smooth all around on the inside of the clamp. They are made for high pressure where as the clamps you are using are not.

Sounds like a good idea. What size Dorman clamps are needed, as I'll probably order some to have on hand.

Same size to Aston or Jag clamps on the expansion bottles or brake vacuum hose clamps from the 1990s to early 2000
Rich Brooks was doing a lot of them back in the day maybe he has the exact size.

To insure owners can get the correct size and a high quality part, we have added long-tail stainless steel hose clamps to the website. This long-tail version is an improvement over the aforementioned Dorman clamp. The construction is all 316 Stainless steel including the screw. These long-tail clamps insure that there is only a smooth band contact with the hose. You should NOT use the standard serrated clamps as they are likely to cause more harm than good. These clamps should largely be considered as preventative maintenance/insurance.

Those are it!
I’ve been using the from my model A to my Vanquish......
Just watch the screw that it doesn’t cut into the fuel rail edge on the one side when it’s clamped down
