I clear filmed my door sills on the 05 basically on day one. The look mint still. I will do the same to the CF.

I definitely wouldn't clear film the Alcantara. Removing it would be like getting a really bad bikini wax.

WOW, incredible pics! As nice as it is for us to have all the great options to choose from, it is very obvious this is going to be more than picking a color and wheel choices. Definitely want to get this one right and not the should of could of latter scenario.
Thanks Dave, we need these, the more the merrier, keep em coming!

Ahhhhhh..... No...... Of course your not filming the fabric..... Have you ever played with the film? It actually has a much lower tack than I expected.

Unfortunately Stef just like our 2005-2006 cars we will always ponder to change this and that after seeing other cars. IMO The would've-could've-should've will always be in play with this gorgeous car and it's various options.

I disagree. I think it looks great. It's going to be a pain to try to keep the alcantra there clean from shoes and scuffs.

My 2011 Porsche GT2RS has Alcantara covered steering wheel, seat cushions and some other bits like gear lever. Side of seats is leather. So far 17000miles on the clock, and Alcantara still looks like new. No special care to it. I prefer Alcantara because it is more racing like and grippy. Grip is the main advantage. GT2RS does have door sills in CF, some minor scratches. But of course it is much easier to get in and out of that car. In NFGT door sills with Alcantara will show some deterioration with time, even if you sit on the sill to get in and out. The sitting spot will suffer.
But no reason to me not to go with Alacantara:thumbsup

Gentlemen,

Initially I picked the options I thought I wanted. But perhaps later on I'd wish I had something else. So I finally said screw it and I ordered everything.

I agree for the wheel & seats, but a wide sill that you have to climb over and where your dirty feet will often hit (DBK mentioned how trashed a d scuffed the carbon sill cars he's seen are), alcantara sills will be a pain to keep clean.

You can't go wrong with everything and you won't have any regrets.

Ah, good old sticky backed plastic. A Blue Peter job then (UK people will understand that)!
