Ford GT vs. Lambo Gallardo: Battle of the Supercars on Sept 9

To me, a better show format would be to have the drivers perform a test, then switch cars and repeat the test - for each of the test sequences, rather than the stupid hype of associating the driver to a particular car with argumentative banter between them. This would present a better comparison, instead of the "Reality TV" type of confrontational presentation, which I find distasteful....

this show is better than i thought it would be and since both of these drivers are pro's with experience it has merit. personally, i like all the trash talk that these guys do. Paul Tracy has a BIG mouth on him and i think it is funny how he relentlessly puts Tanner down
i saw the show where they had that supercharged Bentley Super Sport with 621 hp and i swear that 4940 lb sled could have beat the lightweight 2900 lb carbon Gallardo in the same tests the GT beat it in. as i recall it went 16X mph in the mile and Bentley claims it will do over 200 mph for a top speed.
i think my next car will be a Bentley instead of a Lambo as i can haul more ass with it......lol, pun intended

Wow this must have been cool to see. I just went on SpeetTv site and looked up Battle for Supercars and their schedule. It shows that it is showing Tomorrow night at 10:30pm EST. Is this a repeat or another one?
According to the site " Paul’s 21st century Lamborghini Gallardo challenges Tanner’s supercharged Ford GT-in a showdown of mid engine 600 horsepower super cars." is the one tomorrow. DVR set!!

Yup. I have my DVR set too but strangeley the program on the Satelite says Ford GT500 vs Audi R8!!! I hope its wrong.

FGT 8.33 seconds.
Gallardo 11.25 seconds.
I've run at El Toro at DE events and the runway is pretty slippery as it concrete, dust and dirt, mostly dust as Tanner mentioned he was spinning his tires on the mile run at a 100 mph. Hoosers helped in 0-100-0 for the FGT which are good for several seconds over the MPSC on a road course. Nevertheless, any car that is in the 12 seconds range for the 0-100-0 is seriously fast. That use to be the bench mark for the 427 Cobra's which weighed 2500 lbs with 500 hp.
Lambo only ran 158 mph in the mile from a roll at sea level:frown That's pretty weak musta been 520 miniture horses or Tracy ran in the wrong gear. Agree that FGT vs a Murci would be a better show. Gotta love the FGT.
Guys - this is not the final cut, edited show. It is a "web special" and has a TON of the 'out takes'.

Hello All,
I was granted the opportunity to see the show live at "AZSTAD's" casa. He put on an amazing open house for all of us. Even better was the group of 20+ enthusiasts, watching wide-eyed and cheering at every moment the JoyRide GT sped by. I think ½ dozen of the crowd were actual GT owners…but after the 30 minute episode, the rest of us (me included) put the GT on our Christmas wish list. AZSTAD, thank you!

As of right now, SPEED TV has not posted the episode on their site for viewing, but there are a few options:
1. Catch a re-run of it on SPEED TV. It is sometimes listed as "Audi R8 vs GT500" in the cable listings. The Episode has been named "New Paradigm".
2. You can purchase the entire episode on Apple's iTunes Store for $1.99. I just bought it myself. Here's a link:
