Driving to CA Rally II, how about this?
In another thread several GT owners talked about hooking up with other owners as they drive to the rally. As you get farther west the GT convoy would be pretty impressive and from my Rally I experience driving with a huge group of GT's is a blast. So how about this. Phoenix/Scottsdale will be the final rally point for most owners coming across the central/south U.S. and at that time of year (off season) hotels are cheap and available. If GT owners that intend to drive to the rally are interested I will arrange Scottsdale Hotel rooms (with secure underground parking) at a killer rate and put together a Tuesday night GT Rally Final Push Dinner at a fine Scottsdale eatery. :cheers We could launch at 8AM Wednesday and arrive at the Rally right at check in time in the most impressive fashon. :banana A 30+ GT convoy will cause quite a stir and I can probably get a TV station to broadcast our departure from Scottsdale. :biggrin What do you think?? If there is any interest I'll put it together.

Just found out my wife is due in November, so the Rally will be our last trip for a while. Might not make it to Indy due to all the 'baby' stuff.

You will not eat any dust cause you're gonna trailer to Scottsdale, unload your GT at my house where I have secure parking for your tow vehicle and trailer, and you're gonna drive the GT to the hotel, to the dinner, and from Scottsdale to the Rally with the rest of us!!!!!!! I thought Bony would join our group drive from the Bay Area to SoCal on Hwy 1!!! I was afraid he would say no since that would be going an extra 175 miles or so NW for him!
