Florida GTs: GP St. Pete, Heffner Dyno Day, April 4-6, 2008, *pics post 240*

What kind of a bozo would own a silver car anyways?

These bozos called this morning at 9:00 CST to tell me the race car GT was silver. That's pretty bad when you're loaded THAT early in the morning. Nothing but envy from me though.

Open bar!

All attendees! Bus leaves the Renaissance again at 8ish in the AM. Breakfast in the Chalet on the rooftop at 9ish. Lunch at 12:30ish. I say "ish" because they came half an hour early for everything.

Major note! At 10:15 AM on the dot in the ALMS paddock the Robertson Racing Ford GT team will have their drivers and team available for us in the paddock. They do not have much time. This in in between practice and their race. Be there at 10:15 AM or be square!

Open bar!

I concur

Frank - they'll be there for race days. Practice/qualifing not so much.

I did note that Torrie had enjoyed (I hope) the wine in the OPEN BAR at the chalet. Note to self: no makers mark?

thanks Bony for the photo post. Put up more tomorrow.

Still wish I could be there.

Thanks Daniel!
Great pics....And I like car pictures (and the girls which as Jeff points out will come out on race day).
Patience Frank!
Keep the pictures coming for those who are living vicariously through your lens.....
Wish I could be there as well.

Well, that's better. Francesca in a skirt?

I wish we were there. We got a bit of a car fix last night, as our Ohio Viper Club Chapter had their annual dinner. We had two of the principal engineers from the Viper program give a presentation on the ACR (they brought one for us to see from Detroit). It was very interesting. I am going to see if I can get some of their data to share with this group. Fortunately the weather was good enough to drive the Viper to the event. Spring has hit Ohio!

Thank you Daniel for the photo's from Saturday.

Nice to see some familiar GT faces in the Crowd.

Still wish I could be there.

Maybe I missed it but did anyone post the difference in lap times between a P1 car and a IRL car?

Was in Charlotte at the Auto show looking for another project.... Sorry I missed it. Look's like a great time was had by all!

Hey Steve, Here they are: Tony Kanaan #11 Pole 1:02.5322 @ 103.627 MPH. Alms, E. Pirro #1 Audi 104.942 best lap. 99.98 MPH. Timing and scoring at IRL and ALMS web site tells all.........George

I had a ball of a time driving home in some of that wonderful rain too. I had to white knuckle it a few times when the R6's hit some standing water fun stuff !!

Thanks for all the pictures, Bony. It's a lot of work that is much appreciated :cheers

Miss Florida is looking a little washed up.
