There's some new old stock out there(10 years old). I haven't been here long but I haven't read about a belt failure. I have read about an oil pump pully failure. There's probably 3800 people that would like a new belt.

This might be helpful. A post from last Dec so prices/supply have changed.

I purchased all new belts last summer. I had the same concern about buying new old stock belts. So I tried to source belts that are equivalent common use. Some luck. The oil belt is probably made by Continental-ContiTech and is available thru a variety of suppliers. Here are the results of my research:

I ended up buying all three from my local dealer who sourced them from Ford. I could not determine if the belts from other suppliers were for sure correct (probably were), but the prices were better from Ford, except the oil pump belt. The Y-720 SilentSync seems to be available from a variety of suppliers. I figured that I would rather take my chances with Ford. The oil belt did have a date on the package of 2010, remember this was sourced from Ford last summer. The other belts have recent dates on the package. I have attached pics of my old and new belts, the new ones are the brighter white print. Keep us posted on what you find.

We've been fitting the Y-720 - Continental ContiTech SilentSync Belt for a while now - fits perfectly and works exactly as it should.
