Ever have a problem with people touching your car?

Good stuff ! The gun factory is here around the corner where I am writing this from (Provincia Brescia).. If you ever come by, make sure you get a factory tour. Their engineering is great, their handlabour incision work is incredible....
Prices are accordingly. Mr Beretta is member in our Ferrari club. The amount of units they produce a single day, I think is over 1000 if I remember correctly.

some people touch the cars ... I cant stand it, but I feel like such a dick having to tell them not to touch it , they always seem to get offended. A few night ago we went to dinner, came out to find a short middleaged woman with a huge coat on and a purse trying to look in the engine window glass, she was leaned all the way onto the car , purse on car , LEGS IN THE AIR< LAYING ON STOMACH !!! ( almost crawling on car ) - needless to say I got on to her real strong , really quick.

I had a guy lean against the viper once , talking with his friends ... what was he thinking ?

Outlaw, don't worry about feeling like a d^%$, when telling people to not touch your property. Its your car, you paid for it with your hard-earned money, and you take car of it. If someone gets offended by you asking to not touch, then kindly ask them if you can touch something valuable that they own. Its all common sense with things.

People tend to get outta' hand around these phenominal attention grabbers that we drive... most times it doesn't bother me too much if someone wants to look, touch, or even sit in my car, as long as they are respectful, and ask first. (the gold chain guy would deffinately be unacceptable)

One of the things I can't stand is to see these "Look, but don't touch" signs at local cars shows... anytime I see one of those, I immediately walk on past... and no matter how nice the vehicle, it doesn't get my vote in the balloting.

I find most people in our “little” part of the world to quite respectful of the machines I have, and have had over the years.
Never had a problem, however, when you live in a rural area most everyone knows who you are and whose car it is.
If we lived in a more populated area I am sure things would be different, and I too would be more leery of people.

Depends on the person, but I don't ind if people wanna sit in the car or take a closer look. It's just a car, and I do get a car wash at least once a week. As long as people are respectful why not.

These are some CRAZY stories. If I see someone around the car, I will approach and engage them in conversation. They usually see how passionate I am about the car, and we get to know a little about each other. They learn abou the GT, and I get to learn about someone new.

I find they sense the love for the car and are respectful. In the beginning I let some strangers sit in the car, but have since decided, depending on the situation, that might not always be the safe thing to do. But so far, all experiences have been completely positive. On the other hand, I guess it just takes that one negative to scar you for life...Hopefully we all continue to have positive experiences - they are really rewarding, and it is fun to share. Too bad there are some idiots out there.

The biggest problem....

....at our local shows are motorcycle riders. I own several motorcycles as well and am not down on riders BUT the sportbike guys walk around holding their full face helmets and as they walk by looking at one car their helmet is banging against another car. It's like having a bunch of bowlers strolling through a car show with a bowling ball in one hand!!:thumbsdow You hear a loud thump and they look to see if their helmet is scratched! No concern for the cars.

Oh well, it's just a car.

Why does this bother you? A lot of people don't have the respect to not touch someones car, so the sign is in place to try and prevent people like that to touch it. That's my take on it.

In hindsight, the quip I posted above I've come to accept. Conversely, at a local car show talking with another GT owner that visits this forum when some bonehead walks over and opens the driver's door. He was trying to impress his son with his "I'm a Ford Salesman, no big deal attitude". What do you do? I walked over to make certain the incursion stopped right there but I didn't create a scene. It bugs me to this day that I didn't collar the fool. It's really a no win for the owner.

I attend car shows all summer long and have rarely run into the situations discussed here in this thread, but I am always in close proximity to the car and if I go wandering, my wife is on watch.

Not sure why it bothers me.... probably something to do with my OCD.:willy

Maybe it's because of the arrogance some of these people tend to present their cars with... and my car might not be the nicest one, but it will certainly never have one of those little signs on it.

I resent these teaser pictures... please post the next frames and other angle shots forthwith. I am sure those legs don't end there. Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.
