Actually had a guy open the door after I had gotten out of the vehicle at a high end eatery. I had to laugh for he was innocent and in awe so I couldn't get upset although the rest of the crowd sort of gasped when he did it. He went on to ask some very inteligent questions and happened to be a very nice guy, I guess the GT aura just brought out the stupid in him!!!:biggrin

Their life SUCKS enough as it is, and "touching" is the only way for THEM to "see" anything. So, I have NO pblm with that. I'm not going to stand in the way of them "seeing" something they want to "see". THEY always try to be as careful as they can when touching ANYTHING belonging to others anyway.

BUT! For everybody ELSE the philosophy is: "Your vision will NOT improve by touching this car". :bang :bang :bang

Someday I may post my real feelings on this subject.

.......The ONLY PEOPLE I allow to touch my car are blind folks. Seriously. They can touch it all they want, and I'll even guide there fingers to whatever they want to "see". Their life SUCKS enough as it is, and "touching" is the only way for THEM to "see" anything. So, I have NO pblm with that. I'm not going to stand in the way of them "seeing" something they want to "see". THEY always try to be as careful as they can when touching ANYTHING belonging to others anyway.......Someday I may post my real feelings on this subject.

Yes, kids (who would otherwise be shy, and just look, and admire....are often egged on by super-annoying helicopter parents who urge:

Yes, its the same dang annoying Parents who think its cute when their kids run around nice adult restaurants; yell and they know its annoying everyone but say nothing....and the classic: dont feed, drink, or nap a kid right before he sits behind your seat for a 7hr flight.

Sorry....and yes I had a tiny ice cream hand print baked into the finish of my 60 Mercedes Roadster which I am sure the parent saw and walked by....the dye, sugar, and enzymes ate into finish worse than acid.

Now, back to happy times; make all ages back off !

I think people just don't realize how important these cars are to us, and how much time some of us spend obessing over trying to get rid of the swirl marks that their fingers cause. "Dude, it's just a car!" Does my car have brail on it ANYWHERE? They just want to touch the pretty, shiney thing like they were freakin two year old children! Drives me nuts, but I do feel like an ass sometimes for getting so pissed! People look at me like I'm crazy when I sprint across a parking lot and form tackle the little old blue hair that just opened the door of her Crown Vic into my pride and joy! They get all freaked out when I deliver a Tyson style knockout punch to their booger picking, bed wetting, ten year old's kidney for rubbing his little chocolate covered dick beaters all over my ride. I mean geez, the one on the other side will take up the slack if that one explodes! Dude, it's just a kidney! Next time I think I'll try to hit for the cycle and bite the kid's ear off. Would probably taste great with some fava beans.....
