I'm looking at a low mile 4 option red car. It only has around 100 miles, supreme condition. I couldnt find a flaw on it,. Asking $167K firm. Sound reasonable?
I also saw a red no stripe, 1k miles MSO title, mac delete, $160K. I'm not sure whether to add or subtract value for the mac delete and no stripe, its definitely rarer. I'd think this would give me some bartering room on the 4 option car.
Either way, I want to drive the machine, I'd hate to defile the 100 mile car, maybe should look for 2-5K car. Or should I just go for it and enjoy knowing I've put nearly every mile on her.
Thoughts? Thanks!
I've been looking for a low mileage GT for a few months now. I see most are asking in the 165+ k range, but NOTHING is selling at all and these cars are being re-listed continuously, which makes me believe that the 165+ asking is far too high in today's market. Not only that, but there aren't even any bids on them. That car may only have 100 miles on it, but I'd bet it'll sit there at that asking for a very long time. I'd think more towards the 150-153k mark is more reasonable. It doesn't seem to be a seller's market right now, despite the fact that there aren't a ton of low mileage GT's for sale. I'm 100% sure I'll get one of these for much less than the 165k asking - and fairly soon. Today's market doesn't dictate the excessive asking out there. I have had every single GT on E-bay on my watch list for the past few months, and only one or two have sold...at much lower pricing too. I think the stripe/mac delete is worth much less...it maybe more rare, but also less desirable too. Just my .02

Well I pulled the trigger on an Arizona car that popped up last night. I called them today and threw out a bid, and they accepted. I was kind of surprised, I thought there would be a counter offer, but they bit. Should have offered lower :biggrin Car is to be inspected by Rich (GT Tech) early next week, hopefully it all checks out.

Also, for anyone interested there is a nice no stripe GT that just popped up last night on ebay as well. They are negotiable on the price, and it comes with a Camilo Heritage print which looks awesome. Does anyone know where to get one of those? I tried without success.
I dont plan on putting much on it, maybe a bumper delete, definitely a pulley and tune with catback (probably heffner, maybe the Borla).
Congrats on your purchase. I spoke with my state farm agent and was pleasantly surprised by the premium (900) per year. I'm 46 with a good driving record at least for now.Haha, compared to my first mustang it seems like nothing but I guess it is a few things. On the mustang I put shocks and springs, limited slip rear with 3.73's, CAI, wheels, etc. Did most of it myself. Thats when I became a Ford guy for life.
Thanks for the congrats guys. Hopefully it all checks out, I'm sure it will. I'll get some pics up when she gets in.
On a side note, did yall just add the GT to your existing insurance policy, or did any of you go through an exotic or classic car insurer like Hagerty. I read online someone saved 50% by going with one of those vs statefarm, which is who I have. I'll be curious to see the numbers, hoping its not too bad.
When i moved to statefarm my GT premium was about 1/3 of what haggerty was charging me ...im under 30, single so maybe haggerty had different pricing for that.
