That I can tell, yes. At least asking price is, and the point at which they will sell is. Most people will simply not sell and keep the car if they don't receive asking price, drawing down the effective supply and driving up the market price you actually have to pay to get one.

I sought a yellow car, there were 5 left in dealer inventory in the United States. 2 would not sell, two wanted $215,000, one wanted $205,000. It's a situation where the owner will keep the vehicle for themselves rather than sell at anything but an extreme profit. I find out a no stripe yellow with Mac, Calipers, and BBS wheels with 4000 miles for mid 170's.

Buy a second if you can afford it while they are still out there.

On topic, I'd pick the silver. Silver is the rarest and most under-appreciated color, and it's the best deal of this lot. Good luck to the original poster.

You should not rely on our opinion. Buy the color that you like the most. Then you can make fun of all of the other colors like a lot of forum members do.:biggrin

Gee, guess I must have had one of Jeffy's magic mushrooms on Friday when Kruse sold a tungsten at concourso auction for $125k less sellers premium. The right price is what you paid.

Well... Collectable, they built 4038, how will they ever become a rarity. The most beautiful car in the world is an XKE, the best are worth $100k today 40 years later.

Are you kidding me? What was wrong with that car? Did it have 50k miles, salvage title? Somethings gotta be wrong. Thats just crazy cheap.

Evan,
An auction needs two buyers, they had only one. Car was ok.
Cheers,
Daniel

Bony,

The KRUSE web site states the car sold for $140k (still cheap). Is the "sold" price inclusive of the premium?

Silver!!!
my .02, not that it matters.---

But as others have said, buy the one that will make you happiest.
Stay away from red, as Frank has one of those.

Forget MSRP.Pick the colour you like(black is rare) and close the deal quickly if you really want one. They are getting rarer than siberian tigers.

I own Red and if I lost this one I would purchase red again. If I were adding another it would be the silver then the black for no other reason than I like the way they look. Go with what you like.:cheers

Good luck!
