Wally,
Sorry for not writing sooner as I was so swampped after my vacation. I mounted your bars and the materials and workmanship are first rate and they really compliment the interior of my Heritage. I use four point anti-submarine belts and the positioning of the bar relative to the opening of the seat is spot on. Now I can't wait to use the belts on a track somewhere. But even off track, they make the interior of the car look so much better as the four meaningless bolt heads are now gone. :thumbsup

I have used eye bolts so far to attach my harness but the bar would be a much superior solution.

Count me in if you plan on a second run.

thanks

This looks very nice...let me know if you do a second run. I suspect that you will sell out of these as well.
Thanks!:thumbsup

I just had mine installed. Even if you don't have the belts on, it looks really, really nice and has GT40 logo etched into it. It doesn't interfere with anything behind the seat. Cobra furnished plastic shielding to keep the metal off metal to prevent scratches.

Just sent you a PM. Thanks for your Interest.

Yes, they will be available for shipping toward the end of next week. I pick them up this weekend and then just need to engrave them. I will send PMs next week to all who have PM'd or emailed me with interest.

Work has been brutal the last couple months, but easing up a bit right now. So I have a little more time to play with the GT and some parts.

cobra1339 I have the have the cooltech window savers on both sides of the car. Have you tested your bars with these as they repalce the stock bolts that are used and have a rubber bumper to protect the window from being hit by the seat. Wondering if these would work in this application and how much loss of seat back location adjustment.

There's no loss of seat travel. I don't know if Kendall's bumpers will still fit, but the bar is just excellent. Mine was the first car the GTGuys installed it on and they were very impressed. If you're not told it's there, you would think it's stock. Don't need any longer bolts.

I had Kendall's window savers installed as well; however, you'll need to remove them in order to install Wally's comp bar.

I recommend one or the other. If you don't have the comp bar, get the window savers so you don't accidentally blow out your mid-light.

No the window savers and the Bar do not mix. The bar sticks out just under 3/4" from the firewall. It is enough that it will do the same job as the window savers. Plenty of room behind the seat for me at 6'.

cobra1339 thx. I was concerned that they wouldn't work together. I guess I will have to transfer the window savers to the other GT and use your bars on the driver.:thumbsup

comp harness bars

I love the look of your bars CobraR1339 but I just wanted to mention that the Safecraft harness bars are cool also. I am running the Safecraft bars because of my open track habit. The round bars have a higher strength & meet all track organization regs (square bars are ok for the street though).

Any chance of getting another batch of these made? Chime in if interested so he can get an idea of the interest level.
