Color and value in todays market

It can't be said enough...buy what gets your heart racing. And I agree...whatever color...you will love and forever want a GT.
Unfortunately, I fell in love with a Black, no stripe at Rally III. So by Rally IV I had found the right one for the right price. They definitely come with a premium. And mine will continue to de-value because I DRIVE IT! So the miles will increase over the years. But I don't care! I LOVE THE DAMN THING!
Some day...I hope I am fortunate enough to purchase a low-low mileage Heritage and re-purchase a Tungsten. Those are my favorite colors.

I am not asking about future resale value, only what to expect the market to say (at this time) about color, signatures and billet control arms.

I would say the asking price by a reputable dealers (not ebay) is the best indication of that; these are not cars that 15-20% is knocked off in negotiation.
If you can get your wanted color, lower mileage, from a good dealer then you should pull the trigger.
If you want a much lower price; then you will have to give on mileage, condition and get into squirrely dealers or cars.

Isn't that the truth. I have communicated with one (not a forum supporter) on a particular car (that has a favorite color and low miles) and they are having great difficulty interacting with me in a straightforward manner.

I don't really see how you can disagree with the guy that's physically sold 200 of the cars :lol I mean, you can disagree, but his assessment is rooted in numbers, not opinion. When he says "color X brings X dollars and color y brings y dollars" those are actual sales figures. We were talking about it today, and he gave me the number in thousands of dollars that a white car brings over a red for him, and it's not insignificant. If he wants to disclose it, that's up to him, apparently at his own peril :lol I know he's a used car salesman, but one thing Shelby is not is a b.s-er. He never has goofy prices, never deviates from reality, and generally treats the buying and selling of the cars realistically. I even bought a red car from him!

No one has to agree with me, but my numbers are infact based off actual sales. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion and I can and always have respected that. I usually try to stay out of these arguements as it does not benefit me and may possibly make some people upset that don't want to agree with me, but as they say, "it is what it is".
