Clutch oil leak

Just spoke to Ford, NLA. Talk to engine builders as they've dealt with 5.4's with a seal groove in the crank plenty of times. M2K Motorsports and Heffner might be helpful.

Hachi - Please see the TSB regarding the rear main seal leak in the attached document. Note that the part from Ford has long since been discontinued... but you may be able to find directly from the company?

I'll bet you're missing the axle bolt tsb too...

I have never done this. You can get Flurescent Leak Detector Dye and add to your engine oil. It will then glow at the leak using an ultraviolet or black light. No glow, the oil must not be engine oil

I am not currently aware of the exact amount of oil leaked and the time or mileage of this vehicle.
I wanted to check how much oil leaks when idling. This car has been garage-kept for 13 years. I warmed the engine while charging the battery twice a year. There was no oil puddle on the ground of the garage, so I estimate that the amount of oil leaked during 10-15 hours of engine idling over the past 13 years is less than 50cc. Currently, the engine oil pressure gauge is not working due to symptoms that seem to be caused by battery deterioration, so I am refraining from starting the engine or idling. I can see the oil returning to the engine oil reservoir tank. I tried to order a new battery for the Optima, but it is currently out of stock in Japan. When the Optima battery arrives in Japan, I plan to replace it with a new battery and check the amount of oil leaking. Also, I broke my right clavicle on the dominant hand side 10 days ago. I can't get under the car, so I can't lie down and check the inside of the transmission bell housing with an endoscope.

I think I would forget about the oil leak, maybe there is no oil leak. I would focus on getting the car driving and then if there is an oil leak, deal with it at that time.
