Good seeing John, Lee, Bruce, Susanna, Leonard, and Ron at the morning gathering. The first one I've been to, since my son finished his season of AYSO soccer.

Also, a nice collection of cars. Nice turnout.

i learned that the pzev engines on the fords i used to sell produce upwards of 2lbs less emissions per year than a toyota prius. our dealership was honda, toyota, ford, jeep, kia, mazda, scion, lexus and the owner hated the prius because it's impossible to put a gas mileage rating on a battery. its also not possible to give a battery a realistic hp rating. plus the whole after eight years those batteries will sit in a land fill for like +1,000,000,000,000 years.

GO FORD:thumbsup

Toyota Prius:bs :rofl

coming around a very tight blind corner 100 feet from my driveway doing 5mph and here comes this Prius driving on my side of the road......I stop suddenly.....she stops suddenly....then rolls up to me with a big fake smile....stares at my GT then says in a suspiciously friendly voice "WE need to slow down on this road as it has many blind corners".....to which I replied in a calm almost expressionless tone "yes WE do.....WE also need to drive on the correct side of the road"........ I get another big fake smile....another stare down of the GT and a wave good-bye........very California of her I thought. (no disrespect to anyone here of course)

Lee, at the SEMA dinner I will teach you the 'eagle' which is x5 more powerful than the bird.

I would take a crack at Prius drivers but my physical therapist and Mrs Ice both drive them.... :)

The most common car around my area is the Prius! The drivers tend to fall into two driving categories. Most are the "eco" types that drive the speed limit or below, holding up traffic, especially in the commuter lanes. The other are those that drive them too fast, like over 80 mph. I can tell you from 1st hand experience a Prius a 80 mph is more dangerous than driving a FGT at 120 mph. I can honestly say that the Prius is the worst handling car I ever have purchased! It has a poor acceleration, braking and cornering, handling sucks at freeway speeds, side winds upset the suspension and can send you TWO FEET, or more, from your desired path. That said they are good as grocery getting and for taking the kids to and from school, the GPS is light years ahead of those in BMWs and for its size there isn't another car that gets the same gas mileage. BTW the batteries are warranted for 10 years or 100K miles and I don't expect to ever to reach either of those limits.

Here's an alternative for those concerned about emissions and/or fuel economy, that's a fun little driver.

This is my personal eco friendly solution. And yes, I've even taken the entire family to a wedding and parties, although I wouldn't recommend it as a daily family hauler. Daily driver, sure, but not for hauling people around all the time.

They may or may not be, but not intentionally created that way.
