Well they were through here (Midland, TX) this afternoon and only stayed for a few hours, but it was a slice!

I was playing pasture pool with my son and I notice I've got a voicemail from DBK. Guess he's calling to wish me a Happy New Year? The message states that he and Camilo are in Pecos and headed my way, and did I have some time for them? When I checked the time I figured they would just about be here by now, and I called them back. Sure enough they had already arrived and were at no where other than... AutoZone! :lol Can't even remember what they were after but I gave Dave my address to punch into his laptop mapquest, and here they came.

They had a few beers and we went to take some pics of my cars for a project. I can't wait to see those since Camilo did such a great job of setting up the shots. After that we took the long route to dinner since Camilo had yet to drive a Pullied GT, and I volunteered mine for his review. Dave and my son got some great pics and vid, hope to see those soon as well. I got a few quick pics of Camilo's 'Stang, but alas I'm no expert. Here's a few of the shots to illustrate my slim chapter of The Adventure!

Sure was happy to see those two! They refused to stay the night since they spent so much time having the car serviced in AZ! :biggrin

They told me all about the track time and especially the flights with Chip. Reminds me to pack diapers next time I go to Scottsdale, since Chip promised me a ride as well! :thumbsup

Oh and DBK and The Designer... Thanks or sorry for the cold weather!

What was the C's impression of the pullied car?

Great pictures. Post some more.

I see DBK changed his clothes - means they got the trunk open. Progress. Probably needed a larger size since they seem to be on a beer diet. :biggrin

Any morning sightings of the Duo?

He said he was very impressed and will be getting one himself soon. Said he really liked the launch. On the 'private track' where I had him run he could only get up to 140 but it gets there in a hurry. DBK said he got 133 in the 1/4 with a crummy 60' time and feels with a decent launch it could go higher.

Fellas,

If you need to find a need to delay your return to Detroit, we would be happy to provide reasons. Check out our shop! I double dog dare you! Don't make me pull out the triple, I am only authorized to do that during distress.

It looks like a great time. I can't wait to get Dave's report once the trip is over.

Crapola. I just now read the thread. It would have been a good excuse to exercise the GT. I haven't started it for almost two weeks. I was in DFW for new years. DOH!!!!

I know how you feel, Chris. I haven't heard anything here in T-Town (but we have plenty of auto parts stores and salvage yards:eek ). They must be "boogying on" east or taking the southern route. I would have loved buying them a beer or a meal! Hope the rest of their trip is a safe one.:cheers

You could buy up all solenoids for a 67-68 stang. They would have to come to you. I figure that is next. I haven't seen any mention of that part going out yet.

Yea we had very little time to get together for lunch...hell some annoying yankee was calling me telling me to get them on the road (JOEY!)

Anyway...quick lunch and sent them on their way....you better get Dave some cold medicine though it sounds like he may be getting one since apparently they don't have any heat in the car..:rofl

Oh and where did RacerX get that Corvette from??? I don't know who told him it was restored but it didn't look like it :biggrin must have been one of those friend deals@!

Racer x was a good boy a couple of years ago and as a reward for services rendered, I offered him a chance to pick up my 66, all original , ncrs , wonderful car. I had to give it up as the trogan condem company was not producing enough packets for me while driving that car :biggrin Since racerx is now pretty much neutered its a grocery getter now. enjoy !!!!! gtjoey 1314:thumbsup
