Is that a Maserati Bora in the back behind the GT? I'm the southwest regional director for Maserati International as well.

The wheels and front bumper area would sure suggest so.

RIGHT ON RICH!!! I am very pleased we you have joined the owners circle. (even though you were always welcomed in it). I wish that half the owners loved their car as much as, I know, you will love that one.

Update

Thank you all again for the kind words. I have been putting in a few late nights this week as we have 3 cars ready to ship and 3 more waiting for parts. Here are a few pics of the progress. :banana
With new cooling module, brake lines, and more it now runs and the A/C works. It will be off to the paint shop early next week to have the base white applied. After that is done it will come back for fitments and more mods and then back to the paint shop to have the other color applied.
Now after seeing and doing so many mods to others cars I plan on putting my own spin on this one.
I'm hoping to have it completly done before the show at Carlisle in June. :biggrin

As far as mods for the new car, here is a trick piece that we have been working on independently for a few months. This is actually a part that Rick S. had asked us to look into for his GTX1 TT that we did for him. With that in mind it will fit either a stock supercharger or the Heffner TT intakes and the GTX1 clamshells. It won't cover the Whipples though, but why would you want to cover that.

Ready for paint

Maybe in the summer we can have a little get together or something around here for the MI guys. Even though we have quite a few "squeak and rattle" roads.
Yes it is a little cold for the tractor, even though it is a classic. Everyone that stops by comments on that quite a bit. Even had a few offers on the 1954 Jubilee, but that is a part of my family too as it was given to me from my late Dad :usa, and it used to be his Dad's :usa.

Anyway here are some pics of the car all apart and the body panels just loosly hung on the car ready to go to the paint shop. I took it there this morning and I'm hoping to get it back in 2-3 weeks. All the white will be painted and clearcoated. After that is done it will come back and reassembly will begin. All body gaps will be put into spec so the new stripes can be layed out, some parts will be assembled for good and others will have to come on and off again. This is the process for any car that has stripes. It is just the way it has to be to make them right.

Just filled out my registration for Carlisle so that is the due date. Planning on being done by then but it is nice to have due dates set.:cheers

Something has really bothered me.....

.........and I know I'm not alone here. During the last three years at numerous Ford GT functions we have been graced with the company of so many Build Team members who shared their stories and their love of this car with us. These men and women put their heart and soul into the Ford GT project and exuded their justifiable pride in the result. They helped designed it, tested it, built it, inspected it, and shipped it. And when it was all over, though many of the team members lusted after a Ford GT, most would never own one. And that has bugged me ever since I met many of them at Rally I.

And so when you pulled it off Rich, brought one home and put it in your garage, you delighted the entire owner group more than you can fathom. You put something right in this screwed up world that wasn't right before. I hope every Build Team member that really wants one is able to acquire one someday.

That's my take on it Rich. Thanks for the latest update, please keep them coming right up to the time I can sit in it and toast your acquisition with a bottle of fine champagne. Cheers. :cheers

Well said Chip!!!
As usual!
Fred's team gave us an extemely well designed, tested and delivered supercar. It is gratifying to all us owners that team members that built our cars share in the pride of our ownership.
