I am very happy for you Rich. So many times with cars of this nature, the people who really deserve to own them never have a chance to get the cars. Of all the folks who should have a Ford GT, you are at the top of the list. Just don't forget you still need to help us with our cars now and then.

Rich: Congrats. I know when she's back together she'll be beautiful and done right. Enjoy! Then you can trade her in for a RED one!

Hey does this mean you'll be joining the Detroit law, uh, stretchers? Late night downtown laps of Detroit?

You can sub for me as the White/Blue car until June so I don't lose my license. And now, anytime there is any funny business you can claim it was me and I can claim it was you...right? :biggrin

Congrats! Now, who are you gonna send it to, to get it fixed? :biggrin
And if you ever sell it, who the heck will the potential buyer get to inspect it? :confused

I stay away for just one day and this is the post I find! WOW

Way to go Rich:banana I knew you were talking about driving down this year for our 2nd annual GT Guys event but where will you put all of your tools and parts that will be needed? :rofl:rofl Maybe if we have a two hour opening on March 20th - 22nd weekend we can do a few mods on your gal and then you must let Dennis drive her home. :lol

Congratulations my friend:cheers

I think only passionate GT people should have one of these things and it does my heart good when they fall into the right hands. Congrats! Its a beautiful thing!

Rich, I'm very happy for you. Thank you for what you do for other owners. Take the time to enjoy the rebuild of your very personal girl. Tomy

Quite good news, of course. And maybe the next time I get up to Gingerman you can teach me the proper FGT line around that local track. See you and Denis in March: still trying to drum up more business for the event.

Wow

WOW, THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU for sharing in the excitment of new ownership. Myself and Denis truly appreciate the trust many of you have given us over the years. Thank You!:thumbsup:banana

I lauged my butt off about the space time continuim, who is going to inspect it, and the practice one. Boy do we have a lot of "practice".:lol:lol:lol

AJK: Here are a few pics of a different car that shows how we pick them up with our hoist. The 2 post hoist is much better for us with the amount of work that we do, but it does take longer to position the cars just right. As the pics show. In the front we pick them up were the hoist is or where the red circle is being carful not to touch the side splitter. In the rear we use these extensions to contact the little area of the frame that is exposed when all of the belly pans are on. The extensions are to get the car high enough off of the arms of the hoist so there it no contact made.

With this one I can and will share the rebuild process. As time goes on I will update with pics so stay tuned as time goes on. I have more pics of other cars but I can't share those.

Cobrar: This one has billet arms so you are ok. Allthough it would be good to have an extra set.:wink

DBK: If plans go right it will look a little like yours but not the same, but time will tell.

Very appreciative and greatful,

Rich

Of course you guys realize you will need to drive it to Scottsdale so I can return the favor and do a little work on it so we can add it to the "numbers served".

Just don't park it next to mine - I don't want to see any parts mysteriously move between cars :biggrin

Lift point question.

Congrat's.

I was wondering about that lift also I see you have a little home made extention on the rear, very clever.

Have you ever worked with the three stage extentions?

Nice looking headers too!!

It must be great to work on your own GT after all you have done for others. Best of luck with the project. :cheers

Ive been using the same exposed part of the frame to lift my car when on a two post lift, this part is roughly towards the middle of the car, and you have to have the stomach to raise the car from there because it tend to be less balanced then if the factory lift points were to be used, it has worked out fine for me so far,

Is that a Maserati Bora in the back behind the GT? I'm the southwest regional director for Maserati International as well.
