I tried to give my wife a trophy for 20 years of being married to me.She wanted a trip to Alaska instead ! Too bad I got plenty of racing trophies I don’t use !
I like vacations that involve cars a lot better.The cruise ship thing ,just doesn’t do it for me !I must really love this gal!

Well the rear clam shell vents have been replaced:thumbsup Nardo had a factory replacement set......they had to be painted black but had the updated threads instead of the early 4mm bolts........
Early cars had the bolts which broke the posts even as they expanded in the heat........the real solution is the billet and they will last forever but we wanted to keep the original aspect of the car....it was repaired as follows......
The new vents are the same plastic......now they come with threaded rods........silicone the threads into the plastic vents let it set up, put them on the clamshell......but now get 4mm fine thread nuts and flat washers......smootze the threads and put the washer and nut on BY HAND......
DO NOT USE A WRENCH OR THE NEW POSTS WILL BREAK.........
Once they are hand tight, put a blob of smootze on the end so the nut wont back out......thats the best you can do.......
should hold 20,000 miles around the world.........

It all starts tomorrow as 360 will be driven to our starting spot...SOUTHOLD NEW YORK, LUCAS FORD. It will be on howies showroom floor for the next 3 weeks before we take off....enjoy my friend. Its alot of planning and work...We have alot of guys in europe getting ready for next year, with a possible drive around Lemans right before the big race, we have 3 real mark1 gt40's one mark iv and 3 new gt's...so alot is going on....enjoy it baby...gtjoey1314

UPDATE...GTJIMMY has just called and will be handling the transport to EUROPE:thumbsup
With his connections in the airplane industry it looks like we are going to fly the car, plus his GT to the uk........
Neil and others have started working on goodwood and Lemans....The gt40 enthusiasts club has sent us an invitation to go around the track at lemans befors the 24 hours starts.......cool stuff.......gtjoey1314:thumbsup

Okay the 279 dollars camera turned into the 700 dollar......bargain of the year!:lol
All the products were bought from Best Buy
The camera GO PRO...Now has 1080 resolution....a life time battery , no triple a's now.
The cover/stands are all included........you paid extra for the suction cup arm holder ...25 dollars
The carry case 25 dollars....
No cards depending on how much filming they are 18 to 80 dollars...I bought 4 2hours to start
The camera takes stills and quick shots.
I also picked up the charger in the lighter and plug in the wall
The biggy was the extra flat screen to see what you filmed without a computer....
This whole set up in under 5 unches wide and under 2 inches thick!:eek
Baby its gonna be fun filming up the coast.....Blowing past Rocket man at salt lake city..:lol
