Gentlemen,

Today (Sunday) I made a 775 mile round trip drive from Scottsdale to California & back to take a fresh set of Hoosier R-6s to Cool Tech and retrieve #34 after Kendall got it ready for the Texas Mile. Tim (Stunts) & family were on hand while I was there. :thumbsup On Wednesday morning we launch for Texas to link up with DBK. :cheers Veronica and I look forward to seeing many of our GT friends at the Mile. Cheers.

Torrie

Good luck Chip, Glad to be of service !

Gentlemen,

Our good friend and master tuner Torrie cheerfully went WAY above and beyond what anybody could expect. After flying out to California for our Dyno Day, both Terry (Apollo) and I had problems with our cars that prevented Torrie from finishing our tunes. So Torrie monitored future dyno runs via the web and made adjustments from 3000 miles away. My car was very uncooperative and went back to the dyno 5 times over a couple months!! The first 4 times something was wrong with my car but Torrie was remotely "on hand" and made sure nothing got hurt. Last Friday he spent two hours dialing my car in. The GT Forum is a special place because of men like that.

And speaking of men like that, without my asking, when I arrived to pick up my car yesterday, I was informed that Jason Heffner had paid part of my invoice in addition to swapping both of my turbos out to a slightly different design he thought would be more efficient. My old turbos took my GT to over 220 MPH at last years Texas Mile but Jason thought I would have even better results with the same model turbos that Terry was using. Heffner Performance also goes above and beyond.

And to our members who are still not aware of the capabilities of Cool Tech, LLC, you are missing out. There were 5 GTs in their small shop when I got there yesterday. Kendall and his son Ryan are most pleasant to work with and so accommodating I started to feel guilty. Between my wedding, Charley's graduation, business commitments, and family matters, I did not have time to pick my GT up while we were waiting on parts. So Kendall made arrangements to keep my car inside for an extended time so I wouldn't have to make the run to CA any more than necessary. At Cool Tech, the work always exceeds my expectations and the cost of their services is always a great deal.

Now it's up to weather, wind, driving, and lady luck. I don't know how I'll do this weekend but I am certain we'll have a good time. See you there!

Chip

Looks like Soroush might not be the only ones trying to get it all wrapped up before the mile. We at least got it on the dyno and got some pulls. Guess we will wait and see what it runs. Mullet, what are you bringing?

I'll be there Thur-Sun but I won't have a car to run. Maybe someone will let me take a blast down in their GT? I promise not to touch the boost controller. ;)

Heck I might run my scooter or my RV. I gotta run something! Lol

I'll definitely be lending advice, updating speeds to the forum and hopefully some wooooohooooo's for some new high speeds for our fellow GT brothers

It is always great to see you Chip and the chance to visit with Stunts and family is ALWAYS a pleasure. Yes, 'ol #34 was with us for an extended stay that neither of us really planned. It is true that the car had us stumped on more than one occasion but finally, patience and the old fashioned scientific process have paid off. I think the car is running better than it ever has - as indicated in the dyno results achieved just a few days ago.

The weather at the Texas Mile is always one of the biggest factors, so let's hope Mother nature cooperates and you are able to accomplish your objectives. I wish you a very safe trip out to the mile and back. Most of all, be safe at the Mile and have a great time. I, like many others, will be glued to the forum watching the updates and commentary from Mullet!!

Kendall :agree:

Also would you care to share what your old fashioned scientific process found? I have my suspicions, but I rather hear it from the horse's mouth. It would most likely be of great benefit to others running the same TT system.

I am representing Kendall as his Agent and have advised him not to publish his secret sauce. I need to make sure I collect 10% on every improvement.:lol:lol
