FORD IS BACK !

Ford succeeded his return in the class GTLM PRO, 50 years after the victory of 1966.
The four cars are involved on arrival.
- The top three have te FIRST, THIRD and FOURTH places. (Note that Ferrari ranked second, will most likely downgraded for not complying with an order of the race stewards, which forced it to go into the pits to repair a door that would not close more).

Comments and pictures on my return to Paris.

I herd that they slapped Ferrari with a penalty because the dots would not light up indication of placing 2nd.

I agree! We returned with family from Hawaii at midnight and I stayed up till 6am (3 pm) LeMans time to watch finish. So worth it to see the GTs win and place 1,3,4. Hope Ford keeps racing and winning. Great company and very nice family (Ford) . Thank you!

Here's the end of the race. If you look at 3:45, the 68 passes the Porsche and Alpine and then slows down to get over taken. I wonder if that was for a more suiting photo finish. At first I thought something happened to the 68 but then realized they weren't reporting anything so must've been decided.

I love the logic that the Risi team should be allowed to ignore a mandatory pit and only receive a 20-second penalty because there was only 20 minutes left in the race.

What kind of precedent does that make?

What about the teams that complied with the mandatory pit in order to repair the AOC provided lights?

Are teams now just going to ignore mandatory pits just so they can take the lesser punishment of 20-seconds? A drive through of the pit is longer than that. Why should a team that ignores a mandatory pit rather then complying with it receive the lesser punishment?

Probably something to do with it only being 20 minutes left.

What is there an exception to the rules during the last 20 minutes? :confused

Real bummer the 66 stopped to fix their lights and lost 2 laps. Should have been a Ford 1-2-3
