Is anyone planning on spending the days following the race in Paris? I'm planning on being there Wed / Thursday (June 16/17) after a business meeting. Unfortunately can't make the race, hope to see it on TV.

Maps & Directions to Chateau & Track

I just sent a PM to everyone staying at the Chateau (plus Tim Cantwell) the maps, directions, address location, and location with respect to the track. If anyone else is going to the race and would like those directions, they are as follows:

For those of you coming to the chateau from Charles de Gaulle Airport (or from somewhere in Paris), it's about 240 km (~150 miles) - a map route is shown in the link below:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sou...=48.622016,1.186523&spn=2.658042,4.916382&z=8

The chateau is located about 15 km (~10 miles) northeast of Le Mans, as shown here:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...8,0.070724&spn=0.324362,0.614548&z=11&iwloc=A

It's near a 5-way intersection, but I can't seem to get the names of the roads - an aerial view is shown here - it's the spot marked A

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...8967,-0.011163&spn=0.002534,0.004801&t=h&z=18

Here is a route to the track, it's about 25½ km (~16 miles) as shown here, but the route may be different during the race period.

I'm telling you, you'll all end up in white slavery in the former Soviet Union.

Hey... If GT's finish 1-2-3-4 in class it'd be a price I'd consider...

Guys, as I understand it, you need to get Paddock Entry tickets. General entry tickets just get you in to the village area, and while this is a nice place to be, you will not be able to access the paddock or pit area where we are located. The Paddock tickets are expensive, but give you access all areas, including the grid before the race starts.

What do you know that I don't? I have seen a third Ford GT from Belgium, but is there a fourth GT running?

I will try and make it from Greece there in time but I really want to know if we will be able to get pics and videos and all the goodies from MATECH. Do they have any model cars of their cars made? Hats T-Shirts and jumpsuits? We all will want in on all the goodies.

Passes/Tickets

As I will be leaving for Southern California on Monday, and then on to Switzerland on Thursday, I am hoping that Dave (DBK) will be bringing all the passes, tickets and other information to the chateau. I don't want to have them being sent to my home after I have already left.

Thanks

Sorry, my bad.. At one time, the Belgian team had a second car on an alternate list - like the second Matech car. The second Matech car got accepted and I just assumed their customer team's car made it as well...

So it's GT's 1-2-3 in GT1!

so it it true that to access the pits and the grandstands, the only ticket choice is 470 euros each?

Sorry dr914 for not answering your question about the ticket.
Its true for full advantage you need the expensive one. I will take the regular one for the 3 days and try to get one paddock ticket for the race day if not too expensive.
wish you a nice week end
and hope to meet you all at Le Mans.

AH MAN, I just came across this just now. Wish I was going, not enough time to adjust my schedule now. I was thinking about this just the other day too.

Oh well, you all have a blast. :cheers

Just to clarify....as I understand it, you buy the General Entry ticket for €90...and then if you want to go into the paddock area and also allowed onto the grid before the race start, you have to buy a Paddock Entry ticket at €470. If you buy the Paddock ticket to begin with, this price also includes General Access. So, either pay €90, then €470....or just spend the €470 to begin with. Worth bearing in mind.

Hope to see lots of you there :)

PS...we have a surprise planned for the Forum Sponsors attending....all will be revealed soon.
