2018 Rolex 24 at Daytona

Great Race...Now for my question...I was waiting for the command for the # 67 to slow down a bit to let the # 66 catch up
for the 1 / 2 Finish Opp. Why didn't this take place? The Corvette was back far enough to not interfere with the finish. Just a stupid
question from someone who knows nothing....

The1966 finish cured fantasies of those photo ops. Ken Miles was deprived of the win and was killed at Riverside shortly thereafter. It left a bitter taste.

That would have been pretty cool but to me, don’t be cute and just win.

They did stage a 1& 2 photo finish.... I tried to be cute and tell them that passing below the double yellow line is not allowed .:biggrin

A good old fashioned ass-kicking!

Well done to everyone at Ford, Ganassi, and Multimatic.

Lots of great TV coverage. That's what happens when you run 1; 2.

Well done to Forum contingent as well. Amazing how refreshed you can look after 24 hours when you win.

Jim knew someone at Ford Performance that let us in the restricted area before the crowd. Notice how many people are around the cars when open to the public.

My Chip Ganassi jacket allowed me to get amazing access in the garage. Hope I don’t get in trouble for sharing these.

You couldn't have scripted a better story than this! Thanks for the updates and great pictures.

I keep replaying moments from the weekend in my head.
I was standing with Stormcat and he said "hey Chip is standing right behind you". I turned around saying "where" and was confused because I didn't see Chip anywhere. Then I realized Chip Ganassi was standing right in front of me. I had to laugh to myself and thought it kind of funny that I could look right through a man as big and well known as Ganassi searching for my buddy Chip Beck. :biggrin

It was also the 200th race win for the Chip Ganassi organization. It's cool that the Ford GT'S could bring that to him. They were ready to go with a banner. ..

It really is a good race car. I need to remind myself that this is only the beginning of the third year of the program. It’s amazing how much has been accomplished in such a short time with a new car campaigned by a new program.

If Ford wins Sebring does that mean Ford gets the Triple Crown?

Just so proud of Ford and the team and sang “We are the champions” all the way home!

Glad also that Raj and Larry Holt were there in person to be part of the great win! Had Audi members come up to us in a restaurant later and say what a great race Ford did. Ford has the respect from peers for this car and team.
