And just to top off the weekend, the rain that was supposed to hit the race today waited just long enough until the pictures were taken and the the toys were put away... Now it's starting to come down pretty good here. Great weekend!
Epic day for Ford and Ganassi teams. Not the drama of last year, as Ford GT clearly ran better than any of the other GTLM cars. Strong cars, teams and drivers. Go Blue! Here's hoping we don't get hammered on BoP for the next races.
Way to go Ford! or should I say congratulations for showing everyone else the way! Thanks Raj and the Ford team for building such an awsum car! Hopefully the BOP will not whip us too hard!
“It was the 11th global Ford GT win for Ford Chip Ganassi Racing, including those earned in IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship.“
“All Ford entries who competed during the IMSA weekend bore a special decal for Ford racing legend Dan Gurney, who died Jan. 14, 2018. The serial number for the winning Ford EcoBoost engine at the Rolex 24 was “GT40.”
Great Race...Now for my question...I was waiting for the command for the # 67 to slow down a bit to let the # 66 catch up
for the 1 / 2 Finish Opp. Why didn't this take place? The Corvette was back far enough to not interfere with the finish. Just a stupid
question from someone who knows nothing....
