I sent my rims to Panther Precision Machine in Surrey, B.C., Canada http://www.pantherwheels.com/ to have one of the rims repaired (curb rash). At the same time I had them repaint all the wheels and install new meats.

Here are pictures of the rims before they had any work done to them.

I wanted the rims to be painted a color that would make them "POP". Here is what they did to get that effect. The sides of the spokes and the barrels were painted a black tri-color and the front of the spokes were painted a chrome/aluminum tri-color. Needless to say I am absolutely pumped about the finished product!! The look is absolutely STEALTH!

These are the front wheels with 265/40 18 Bridgestone Potenza installed.

Jason, you're off the chart man!!! That looks wicked cool! Reminds me of the new 997 turbo wheels with the painted barrels and sides of the spokes. But way nicer, cause it's the GT wheel!!! :thumbsup And when did you decide to do the Bridgestones after all? I hope that you were able to sell your literally brand new F1's.

You still coming to town next weekend? A friend wants the car for a show, but if you're still coming I'll keep it out of the show so we can go for a spin. :cheers

Not sure what you mean by "It just does not make engineering sense to cool ambient inlet air upstream of the compressor". The cooling is the same whether the water mixture is injected up or downstream of the blower. Turbine engines utilizing water injection always inject it upstream of the compressor and piston engines use both. It takes a fixed amount of energy to convert the fluid from a liquid at one temperature to a gas at another.

Well keep us posted on your progress with data.

.

It just does not make engineering sense to cool ambient inlet air upstream of the compressor. You need to cool the high temperature air AFTER compression for the greatest performance benefit. This seems to be verified by your statement,"Then they installed a Snow Performance methanol injection system (pre blower) and didn't make any more power regardless of the many tunes they tried" as I would expect based on my above explanation.

Keep us posted!

Supercharger is back from being ported, polished with a smaller pulley installed. I had the pulley polished and had holes drilled around the circumference to give a different look.
