'08 Scottsdale Rally to the Rally

Do we have a way to get the luggage from Scottsdale to Vegas yet?

Looks like I will be taking my transporter on to Vegas from Chip's place and there is plenty of room in the trailer for extra luggage - no problemo.

:cheers
Trent

Trent, may I reserve the air-conditioned portion for my Armani's? I'm only going one way, Scottsdale to Vegas. Thanks Frank

I guess I can move some of my good t-shirts and Levis to make room, but the humadore isn't installed yet so I can't take your Cubans :biggrin:lol

I'm a Macanudo Portofino guy. FJP

('Jus thought I'd throw that in there B4 someone else did...)

Are we there yet!?!?!?!

That's great Trent!

But wait, how do we get our stuff back to Scottsdale?

Guess I'll take disposable clothing and just throw it away after the rally.

If I need clean underwear on the way home, I can stop at Wally World.:lol

Hmmmm - get the luggage back......... maybe that is what the Mexicans Fred mentioned can do:biggrin cause I have to look into this Monica thing Larry is talking about:biggrin

I have no problem joining the caravan back to Chip's place to drop off luggage and should you run out of clothes, can I interest you in an Armani? It will have been in climate controlled storage. :lol

Fortunately, Texas GT is larger than I am, so my Armanis won't fit. Trent, if I remember correctly though, you and I are about the same size.

Yep, very close except if I were to sport an Armani my wife would say "who are you and more importantly what did you do with my husband?" :biggrin

Off to Tanzania. Off-line until August 8.

Gentlemen,

In about 48 hours my son Charley and I will launch for East Africa where we will spend 22 days in the Selous searching for a big Lion, a bull Elephant with a six-foot long ivory, a big tom Leopard, and a 48 inch Cape Buffalo. This will be our fourth trip to Africa. I have been practicing with my .470 Nitro Express double rifle over the last couple days and that's an experience in itself. When it goes off it slams your shoulder with an ungodly amount of recoil and shakes the ground around you. I certainly hope that the elephant is as impressed with it's fury as I am. Charley is shooting a .375 H&H Magnum bolt action rifle which is equally impressive for a young lad of his size. The Selous is about 500 miles south of Mount Kilimanjaro and we will be hundreds of miles from the nearest telephone or Internet so I will not be able to keep up with this thread until my return to Arizona on August 8. All the best to my GT Forum friends and I'll catch back up with you early next month. :cheers

Chip

Here's a photo of Charley four years ago (age 11) with a nice Waterbuck he took in Namibia.

Chip, What Quality time for both you and Charlie. Have a great trip as Sue and I look forward to hearing about the trip over dinner in Las Vegas. Be careful and watch out for the Black Mombas (snake). PS I had to clarify it. Life is great, enjoy every minute of it. Tomy & Sue

Have a great trip to the dark continent and be safe.

Good! That gives us about three weeks we can post what we REALLY think about him.

(We can go back and delete our posts on August 7th can't we?)

Have a great time Chip, but, I'm sorry, I hope you miss the leopard.:biggrin

You're too funny. My question, no white women going to act as princesses?

Amazing how you held the other Waterbuck hostage and told him to take a picture of you and Charlie "OR ELSE" :biggrin

Hi Chip, PLease count us in for the trip from Scottsdale to Vegas

That is awesome Chip! Good luck to the both of you and be safe!

That is something I would love to do with my sons someday :cheers
