Rob, you can tell the manufacture date of the tires pretty easily. There's a set of #s written on the sidewall which correspond to the year and week the tire was made. i.e. 06/43 means 43rd week of 2006.

best way to ease the pain is with a portable space heater to soften it. Made my life much easier.

that's very unfortunate, but that does mean there are a lot of NOS parts now available. No way it's worth it $ wise to put it all back together.

fwiw i've had no problems since my custom tune was done for my whipple. IDK if it will recur, of course. I do drive it a lot. I've been putting about 5k per year on the car.

I keep mine in the garage the 3 days of the week i don't drive it. unheated, unairconditioned. I do throw the car cover over it on occasion.

I got 21 mpg coming from mojave to phoenix, at an average speed of 85-90mph, with multiple hard pulls. I couldn't believe the mileage. Thats with a Torrie Mcphail tune btw.

the evap code may also correlate to a bad filler nozzle. might want to stick a finger in there, make sure the spring loaded door is still functional.
