    Aircraft Engine Failure.

Nice job, Chip. As one who has had a few interesting moments as well, I can appreciate the skill it took to get her on deck. I'm glad both you and Charlie are ok. We are specifically prohibited from attempting landings with an inoperative engine. There's a lot of comfort to strapping...

So What Other Cars Did You Consider?

I was considering a BMW Z8 or Aston Martin V8 Vantage. When I realized that I could swing a GT, the others were a distant second (and third). If I had hit the Powerball jackpot last week, I would be adding a Z8 to the garage. Sigh... maybe next time. Buy the GT. You won't be disappointed.

    Demographics of GT Owners

No way, Roketman. There's a No-Fire Area around all GTs! I really wish I could have made it to this year's rally. Unfortunately taking a trip to New Orleans just wasn't in the cards. There were too many things going on at work. I always did like how you roll.

I spent a few hours in the sky this afternoon dropping bombs and refueling from a KC-130. Welcome. Buy a GT; you won't be disappointed.

    SVT - 20 Years

The first new car I purchased was my 1996 SVT Mustang Cobra. At the time it was quite the car for a high-speed Marine 1stLt learning to fly jets. I sold it in 2007 to buy my GT.

    Memorial Day

:usa I had the honor of meeting Dakota Meyer last Saturday night. You should have heard the ovation from the 500+ Marine Officers after the Commandant recognized this humble American hero. He is also a truly an example of what makes our country great. Semper Fi,

End of an era, the final flight.

Awesome pictures, Chip. Ironically, I was in DC on Saturday and made the trip out to Dulles specifically to see Discovery. She was truly impressive.:usa Semper Fi, Waldo

    My Zero's First Flight!

I can't comment on training for older warbirds, but the T-34A/B/C were used for decades as the USMC, USN, and USAF primary flight trainers before military pilots moved on to intermediate jet, prop, and helo trainers. I learned to fly the T-34C before moving on to the T-2C Buckeye and the A-4...
