I am in the process of having mine made. Though they have been very pleasant to work with, it has been a slow process getting proofs back for approval. Having read this ^^^^^ I put in an emergency e-mail.

I want it to say "Made in the USA" on the bottom and nothing else.

The issue with the text at the bottom of the speedometer is that the gauge bezel runs through it cutting it in half. I would suggest just removing it completely if it can not be moved higher on the gauge.

I spoke with them today. ALL new orders will have (printed on the bottom) "Made in the USA by Speedhut" on them. You can PAY $20 each to have this removed.

Not the best marketing plan I have seen.......

Yeah, I agree, and hope SpeedHut monitors this dialogue. They have a good reputation here, and this is just awkward. The $1300 for the product doesn't bother me, but I would be pissed to pay $20 more or so to get less!

I brought this up with them and sent them a picture of the issue. They now say they have moved the lettering UP which makes it fully visible.

I should not that this writing is ONLY on the Tach and Speedo.

Jason, Did you get a set?

Mine are in the last stages of production. Had to wait for some parts to arrive. I had a lot of special requests that took a fair bit of time to work thru. They did accommodate my request to have only "Made in the USA" on the tack and Speedo tho.

Anxious to get them in my hand.

Jeez, why does every damn thing get so complicated? Seriously, does anyone want "Made in the USA by Speedhut" on their gauges? What is the point? I truly appreciate that Speedhut has stepped in to fill a need, but, if I had to have the gauges, I guess I'd pay whatever they asked for the "advertising delete." Total BS IMO, since they offer so many customization options.

They are being built now. Mine are OEM except the needles glow red at night. NO Speedhut names on them! :)

Should see them in a few weeks.

I agree completely. I think I'll just be happy with my free iPhone speedometer app for a little while longer.

I never noticed the "Speedhut Made in USA" on my tach and speedo (not on the other gauges). I not thrilled that it's there and I would pay more to have it omitted, but it's pretty innoccuous. After all it took this post to make me aware that it's even there in the first place. Sure beats the heck out of looking at three failed OEM gauges.
