    Windshield Breakage

Some wild numbers posted here. Stormcat has one in his shop to use as a Clearplex mold. IDK what it cost, but let's say a totally outrageous $5k for argument. That means $25k labor. $25k/20 hours = $1,250/hr. Not bad! Except that 20 hours labor is also crazy. Anybody know anything factual...

Do I need assembly parts for my original FGT exhaust?

I think you have everything you need. Unbolt the Heffner, bolt on the Ford. The two flange gaskets are generally reusable. If not, they are readily available here, or just make your own out of gasket material. Easy access with the clamshell off. This is also very easy with two people. Some...

    Dynoing underbody removal?

I guess it depends on the setup. Diffuser had to come off to get it strapped down on this dyno.

Why have your business plan be a lottery?

$500 million revenue per year? Pfft. Lost in the rounding. F-Series sales produce that in about four days. Ford should invest in, or contract for, the eight tub autoclaves required for 1,000 cars/year? And 4X the assembly line? After three years, I think they've barely figured out how to get to...

Minimum Garage Ceiling Height for a lift

The HD-9SW has all the options to make it a service lift. Are you suggesting that Bendpak will sell something that is unsafe?

Minimum Garage Ceiling Height for a lift

Chris, It *looks like* a rolling jack will work with that lift. The jack rides in the groove on the inside of the ramps and the ramps look the same as the single-wides. Essential IMO if you expect to take the wheels off from time to time. Otherwise, you're dealing with a couple layers of 2x12s...

Minimum Garage Ceiling Height for a lift

Floor to ceiling is 10' 6". HD-9 ramps are 76" at max lift. Max lift + GT = 10'.

Source for TRUNK lid gas struts?

Thanks, but extended length is too short (lid won't open all the way), compressed length is too long (crack hood/break something on closing), wrong ends (which are not easy to swap, because rod diameter and threads are different - coarse/fine), and the gas tube is too fat (tube diameter is...

    Still Can't Get First Gear

The problem of overheated clutch fluid is not caused by a hot transaxle. The clutch fluid line passes very close to the exhaust. If you have headers, you need heat shielding on the line. This is the area where the fluid can boil. Also, where the starter solenoid can melt from the heat.

    Still Can't Get First Gear

Bleeder on firewall (1st pic). You can see it from the driver side. Reachable with some contortions from the top. Bleeder on right side of transaxle (2nd pic). Two person job. Start with firewall bleeder. Press and release clutch pedal 5 times, then press and hold. Attach a drain tube to...
