    Rich, GT Guy Gravel screens

As of now no, on the mudflaps. I do not have a car to use/scan as I wanted to make something for the front and back. Also estimated costs seemed a bit high for the owners I spoke to. Estimated complete car set would have been in the $650ish range. I would still like to do this but I would...

2006 GT shuts down on acceleration

Stock tires and wheels? If they are aftermarket the diameters could be too close of a ratio from front to back causing the ABS module to limit speed to around 50mph. Seen this before when someone else spec'd out wheels for their car. Don't think a fuel pump relay will set the ABS light.

    Prepping for clear bra

We had to remove the belly pans off of a new owners car so the pans can have clear bra installed. Removing the pans from the new car is a lot more involved than removing the pans from the old car (I really can’t believe I called the 05' old :frown:frown ), more time consuming and more about the...

2005-2006 Pre Purchase Inspection Needed? Who can I talk with ?

PPI Thanks for the recommendations. Threads like these are always quite amusing, this is why I don’t post a lot on here. It usually turns into a pissing match on who is better, he knows more than that guy, he said she said, bla, bla, bla, drama, drama, drama. I graduated high school a long...

    Alignment question

alignment This is not this hard, wow. Sometimes you have to use washers to get within specs, especially if the car is lowered. We used to do string alignments on our road trips and do not recommend that anymore unless you are in a pinch. The toe is way too sensitive on these cars for that...

Thanks DBK, no problem on coming out as it was our pleasure. You made quite the entrance with the NFGT and it was quite the show to see the new car on the streets. Hopefully some of the video my boy took will turn out ok. Will be good to see more video of it moving on the road. A few pics...

Car pulls to side on hard acceleration

Tire pressures will do this but if you checked them then that's not it. More than likely rear toe links. Seen and replaced many. The inner side of the joint (ball and socket) wears and causes this. New toe links, good 4 wheel alignment, and should be good to go. If the axle bolts broke and...

    GT Historian help needed....

Seating Buck From what I remember, that is the “Seating Buck” as it was called. It wasn’t a complete car just wood and clay on a dolly shaped like the center section of the car. It was used to help the designers see what the interior would physically look like, other than on the computer...

    Ford GT Clamshell assembled incorrectly

Seen quite a few of them like this. They just have to be reworked before paint. There are a few other parts on the car that are like this as well. Tried talking to Ford over the years but most of the service parts were built a long time ago.

Ford GT AP Racing 6 Piston brake system

Not to hi-jack this thread even more but we have 3 of those carts. We modified them from another application, new wheels and they are perfect for moving chassis around that do not have suspension or whatever else. Our trailer is set up for the carts too.

What's so hard about driving a Ford GT (rant)

RH drive GT When we had a RH drive GT from Australia here at our shop for some work a few years ago. Took some time getting used to driving it. Shift pattern was the same just with the other hand.

Stress cracks in 27K mile, 0 Stories 05 GT

Looks like from where the roof panel and B pillar come together. There is a lot of body filler “Bondo” in that area from the factory around that seam. Seen that on 2 cars but that was from after an accident. Must be some real bumpy roads up there.
