A short time ago on a different thread we were discussing alignment. Perhaps no where is it as important as a "momentum" car where any mistakes are amplified by the car's inability to get the speed back (low HP/weight ratio). By the way, this is one of the reasons that many of the top drivers (including F1) have started out in go-karts and/or momentum cars. Mistakes are amplified for all to see unlike many cars where the mistakes can be masked with usage of the right pedal. So, these cars force you to develop good habits.
OK, well back on the pseudo topic of alignment (actually all of this is just a thin veil to allow father to brag about son), this weekend was the NASA SoCal season opener and 'ol dad is quite proud of what Ryan has achieved. Friday night was a season WERC opener with a 3-hour enduro - which Ryan did solo with one super great pit stop (umm, that was me... but just kidding as he had a 4-lap lead at that point.) Anyway, he placed first in class.
But, more importantly was the much more contested NASA 30-minute sprint races. Ryan placed second on Saturday but was determined to "do better" on Sunday. He and former SCCA champ, Rob (second place) literally ran away from the field in a very exciting race where the lead was exchanged about a dozen times.

It's all in the alignment :cheers
