I ought to know you donnymac, but don't know if I do or not. I took Peak for HIS first GT ride and he couldn't even drive as he had a broken wrist. I also helped him find his first GT and received it for him on a cold day in Odessa as he was in Hawaii on his honeymoon.

Maybe I'll meet you 300 miles away at the Rally? :lol

The Chap museum is very cool. Your car looks awesome in there! How'd you pull that off?

I tried to buy/lease Jim Hall's Rattlesnake raceway from him years ago and got to ride it with him at speed in his Sedan deVille!

Chip -

Is it possible to route the "Rally to the Rally" for a stop here? I would love to see the Chaparrels that Phil Hill drove again.

If you're headed back west after the Rally it really doesn't add much time to go North to Midland to see the museum then west on I-20 until it runs into I-10 in Van Horn Tx. I know that driving south from Midland to I-10 and then taking that to 290 near Junction takes a lot longer than going 158 to 87 to 71 when I go to my house in Austin. (5.25hrs versus 4.25hrs).

DonnyMac,

Where and when in California? I would love to see them again. (The last time was in the sixties)

Last race for American Le Mans serries is at Laguna Secca Oct 8-11 weekend. Hall will be there with 2 and 2E. Cars will be featured to honor a driver Hall helped get started, Gil de Ferran.

The number 1 car isn't the 2F prototype raced at 1967 LaMans is it?

Enjoyed the visit today. Lets tag up and compare notes when you get back to Midland or at the rally.
