I finally saw the new beast in person today. I can't describe it any better than has been previously done here. So I'll just add some pictures and let this work of automotive history in the making do its own talking.

Welcome to the dark side........... :biggrin

Looks like a new #34.

WOW! Showstopper in that color.

The black wheels always look great with yellow.

God and Ford willing, Chip can grab one like it if he wants.

As Brian said, welcome to the dark side.... Now have seen in person many times, it keeps getting better!

Interesting to see the GTE race car and street car next to each other.

it's cool in your photos but they probably don't do justice to how it is in person!

That's what I realized Ed.
New GT makes the F Car and McLarens seem stubby and short.

My initial observations from the photo's is how similar the proportions are between racer and road car. There doesn't appear to be a huge size discrepancy. That can't be said about the 66 racer and 2005 road car.

Kinda apples and oranges don't you think when comparing two generations of cars?

The 60's road cars were the same size as the Le Mans race cars, they were damn near the same car.

Very good point and Yes, I do agree with you. I was indirectly observing how much the modern day racers have grown.
