Rally 3

Had a great time. Met a lot of nice people having fun.

I stayed after the Rally & drove stock cars on the LVMS oval at the Petty school. One of the instructors asked me if I was enjoying going 150 mph at the school. I didn't have the heart to tell him that we drove faster than that getting to the track!

I didn't reach 150 driving to, or from the Rally, because I always obey the laws of man and nature. Besides my GT is not as fast as Ed's.

BTW, my Valentine 1 lit up like a Christmas tree many times on the way to and from the Rally. I took 95 in NV to Vegas and it seem that the NHP use radar quite a bit. Fortunately leaving it on most of the time. On the way home I took 15 to 5 and the CHP also used a lot of radar.

After a few martinis at the Red Square in the Mandalay Bay I thought I saw Carroll Shelby & Bony downing a few shots of Makers Mark.

I knew it must have been the booze though; as I know, Bony likes his Makers Mark in a Manhattan!

Next year I hope we can do something a little close to the East coast.. but where ever it is I will be there in 2009 !! :banana

Lots of curvy, smooth, beautiful scenery here....both roads and blondes, brunettes & redheads. Mostly dry here , but can get wet very quickly.:banana

We were lucky to have Mark McGowan at our table during the auction dinner.

He confirmed, along with the Nardo, Italy, Ford GT, that the laws of nature permit 212 mph in a stock car. :wink
