I called to make an appt to get my 05's windows tinted by a local tinter that did a great job on my Nissan Titan in '18, and when I said it's a Ford GT he asked if it's older than 10 years. I said, Yes it's an '05 and he said he wouldn't do it because there can be issues inside the doors of cars older than 10 years. I told him the car has <300 miles on it, has been in climate control its whole life and looks 100% brand new, but that didn't change his mind. I offered to bring it by to see if that might change his mind, but he said no.
What do y'all think? Have you had any window tint related door internals issues? Anything I should actually be concerned about? We do have another quality tint place I've also used before this no-go guy, and the no-go guy did say he's pretty sure they will do it, but I wanted to check with you all first before contacting them and proceeding.
