It's all fun and games until someone gets their face ripped off.

Dont wear yellow and banana scent after shave/perfume or face peel will have a new definition. Yikes. I cant believe people/tourists forget what "wild" means in wild animal.

Wow. I have always wanted to experience a safari and the wildlife in Africa but I think this may have changed my mind.

'Zackly.

Remember the guy who was hanging out with/photographing bears (in Alaska I think?) for 2-3 years (or whatever it was) and ended up being their LUNCH? And then, of course, who can forget the Siegfried & Roy incident...not to mention the countless number of "the clueless" who find out the hard way that Yogi Bear is a LOT different that the other bears in Jelly(Yellow)stone?

John doesn't have any more lice in his hair.

Wow.

These gorillas have obviously had human contact before but that is just amazing. Unfortunately one may sidle up some day to a poacher.

That was amazing. Africa is on the docket this summer, but that is more than I could handle.

I was at that very location in August 2008. We had to drive 1 1/2 hours and hike one hour into the jungle to observe the gorilla family that we saw.
I remember walking on those stairs and would have dropped a load if a gorilla family came cruising in.
These gorillas are used to 8-10 humans visiting them each day, for an hour apiece. If I recall there are three gorilla families up on those mountains.

That's awesome. Would love to have the chance to observe in the wild. Maybe not quite that close though.

They could obviously sense he was not threatening to them.
My wife and I went on our honeymoon to Africa.Quite an experience.I found the poverty sad and depressing around the cities. But the wildlife parks are truly amazing.
I remember thinking how much fun it would have been to have a rally car instead of a mini van we got stuck in!
I must admit that my favorite animals are lots of horses under my right foot!
