Not enough for what I got. :biggrin

March 07 with 16 miles a very very late 2005 actually #2005.

Great dealer experience in Missouri at Walton Motors. The best car buying experience ever. I actually flew out to look at it and load it into the reliable carrier. The dealer had pics of it arriving in the big orange truck and we now have pics of it leaving that way too. Full documentation including the dealers lottery paperwork, order sheet, etc, etc.

I had searched high and low in Calif and could not make a good enough deal on a brand new car. I came very very close to a used Red/White one for about $3k less thant I paid for the new car and 2,500 miles. Made a couple offers on two different Heritages, but they could not be bought for anywhere near MSRP. I actually offered $5k over on one Heritage. I wanted White/Blue or Heritage as my first choices. I set a budget and wanted to write a check for the car.

My only regret is the sales tax and license I paid in California:eek

2006 4 option white/blue #1970 in October, 2006 for $3k under MSRP ... so about 2% under sticker.

I had been following prices for a few months on ebay when I bid on this still in the wrapper 1.8 mile car offered by Apple Ford located in western PA through their ebay auction. I was second high bidder, so just assumed that one was gonzo when I got an e-mail from the Service Mgr. offering the car at my bid three days after the auction had closed.

Best car buying experience EVER ... they couldn't do enough for me. Picked me up at the airport and drove me to the dealership, about 60 miles. Waiting for me was the Service Mgr and two techs standing at attn. You guys all know the feeling the first time you lay eyes on YOUR car in person ... ohchee mama, what a thrill I'll never forget. They attached my plate, I finished the paperwork and off I went on a 600 mile ride back to Massachusetts grinning all the way!

I've been kind of wondering when this question/threat would appear.

I thought I was very luck in getting my '06 Tungston with all options at $157,000 even.

As I remember it, msrp was $166,950 divided into $157,000, that's 5.96% off msrp.

I was very pleased with that deal.

But, quite frankly, who cares. I was never into buying this car about getting the best deal, but I was quite pleased with my purchase.

I first saw, and sat in, a blue/white stripe GT at the Barrett/Jackson auction in January of 2005. (It was pre-recall, as I remember). I bid on it, but I was no where close, as it went for over 300k. I knew right then I had to start getting my emotions in order, as I just had to have one of these cars.

My deal was done in Oklahoma. This dealer sold mostly trucks, the big 150 and 250 types. They stuck a brief add on ebay, I think it was the first one they had ever had. I called them, made the deal right there.

It was Joe Cooper Ford, very nice people. It was good luck, and life is often times a matter of timing.

But who cares, I was going to buy one anyway, so I was lucky. I'm guessing before this thread is done, there will be someone or somebody, and maybe many, that got a much better deal than I did.

But at this point, I’m the leader in the clubhouse. But who cares anyway! :cheers

That's a great discount. I probably should have asked MSO and <10 miles.

Whoever claims to have had the biggest discount will have to use the savings to buy the rest of us a big lobster dinner at the next get together. BTW, mine was 7K below MSRP plus one free rear diffuser as the one on the car had a small nick on the outside fin so the dealer ordered a brand new one and shipped it from Vegas to CA for me.

Thank you Centerpunch for getting us all good prices on the cars. Without his website, I would bet that each of us would have paid at least $5-10K more than we did.

Amen Brother! I'll bet many here don't even know who he is or how much they owe him..... so to speak.

Well I purchased the Heritage with all four options from a Ford Dealer brand new 1.8 miles on the clock in November 2006 for a price of $163,582. I persuaded the Dealer to give me the plastic bubble that the car was in as well. I think the Dealer is probably kicking himself if he knew what he probably could get for this car now.

I was lucky enough to get my 06, 1602, for $8K under in Sept. of 06. It was a mac delete car (thank heaven) and had 1.3 miles on the odo. Found it at a tiny little dealer in rural PA. They were scared of the car, I think, and wanted to get it out of thier one car showroom before flooring started. They only had it for ten days before they put it on ebay. I spotted it, called with a hard cash offer as soon as I saw it, and they sold it to me and removed it from ebay that morning. So, I guess you could say I got it on ebay.:eek

I had to pay for shipping west, of course. I must brag: It's one of the finest examples I had inspected as far as paint/stripe/build qaulity goes, and I don't think I'll ever be able to part with the beauty. That's somethin', especially coming from a serial exotic buyer.:wink

Ahh, the distinct thrill of 200 mph...

$4k below sticker, 12/2005, all options 8 miles on the clock. All this about 6 months after I saw several sell for over $250k.

Most of us have done quite well. Not at all what I would have expected.

Ok, how about a prize to whoever paid the highest price for the GT? These individuals were the geninue GT lovers and supporters because they spoke with their money.

Hear Hear! I might have a shot at that prize! :biggrin

Not really, I paid sticker for mine. However I know two guys that ordered and received theirs together that claim they got both for $133,000 in 5/06. They tried to get me in on their deal but I got tired of waiting and bought mine in 3/06. Not sure I believe them but that's what they say. They don't post on any of the boards. One is Black/Silver and the other is White Blue.

I got my '06 blue/white, no mac, red calipers for 2k under in August, 2006. I was looking only at cars with this combo so my choices were limited.

That's similar to my deal. Blue/white, no mac, full stripes, wheels, red calipers.

BUT -- I ordered mine that way, watched it on the assembly line and paid exactly MSRP at my local dealer (about 3/4-mile from my work), so no shipping charges.

I called my Ford contacts the day after the car was announced for production in March of 2002 and picked it up August 23rd, 2005. A three-and-a-half-year journey -- and worth every minute!! :banana

October 2005 MSRP. but before price increase.

Funny seeing the invoice posted, and takes me back to mine. My dealers invoice the "1" for the 6th digit had to be hand written, as thier software must not allowed them to go to 6 figures...... I laughed.....

That was a good deal, particularly at the time. When I was looking for my car, I could only locate several others in the country configured the same. Finding a no mac car was the biggest obstacle.
