Yes, there is at least 1 part in the Tesla Model S from the New Ford GT

Brake Light Switch
 
Winner winner chicken dinner...

The brake pedal might be unique, but the electronics are not. The brake light switch which turns on the lights when the pedal is pressed was actually first used on the 2006 Ford Fusion. It also has a Ford part number stamped on it. The switch is quite popular as it has been used on various Jaguar Land Rover products as well as the new Ford GT.

you don't even want to know how many Focus, Aston Martin, Land Rover and truck parts are used on the 2005-2006 GT

Hopefully, enough that when a part is needed, it is available and at a reasonable cost.

I order to prepare for hand controls I removed the accelerator pedal a few days ago.
I Googled the parts number and it turns out it straight out of a Transit Van

Actually that was the Roadster on the Falcon, not the S. But for even more trivial trivia, does anyone know if there's parts on the Roadster shared with the 05' GT? The Roadster came out a few years after the GT's.

I find something satisfying in knowing that those parts were subjected to millions of cycles of use before they were put on a GT. :thumbsup
 
This only means that the price of the switch will quadruple (or more):facepalm::biggrin
