Everyday drinking is MaCallan 18 for me.

If I'm out with customers, then 25 works.

I really like the Isle of Jura 10 yr for everyday. I had some excellent ones that a a guy I met in an aviation school had brought back from Scotland but stupid me I never wrote down what any of them were. I do remember him saying that they were ones you probably wouldn't find here.

Auchentoshan 18.

Trust me.

Awesome. I'll have to get that for my next bottle.

Taiwan Kavalan... I had it in Taipei last May and it blew me away. Obviously it stunned others too.

One that someone else is paying for--

I like a Scotch that is smooth in flavor. There are many Scotch drinker who prefer the "peaty" flavor of the Scotch. As such, the Auchentoshan 18 is very smooth (the difference in the 21y is only noted by the pocket book), Aberlour a' bunadh is another great 'smooth' Scotch. The Aberlour has an interesting characteristic, it is non-chilled filtered and bottle straight from the cast ('bout 120proof). It should be, IMHO, watered thoroughly. Here is the interesting thing, because it hasn't been chilled filtered like most spirits, when you poor it over ice the particles that would normally be filtered out become visible and the Scotch appears almost 'milky'.
