What production number is my Ford GT?

My son’s car Heritage 958 was special ordered to be different from the other Heritage cars

How could it have been made different? Combinations of wheels, stereo and calipers?

Yes great question. When I ordered the car on DORA it made it clear that there would be limited numbers of the Heritage package and most were dealer ordered. Dealers tend to load the cars up with options as Joey’s book proves. I ordered base stereo, base wheels and gray calipers. I didn’t know about the Canadian cars at the time which also got base stereo. That of course means different center console (top portion) and door panels. Turns out per Joey’s data and Jeff Burgy’s Cobra/Shelby registry data that Patrick’s car is one of two built this way. They also let him engrave the VIN in the lower rear chassis and sit in it on the line. It just makes it slightly different. I still tell him my red car is faster due to driver 😉IMG_6557.jpeg

What a memorable day for sure, Kpgarage, thanks for (re)posting that photo!

Great choices too on your special order, base wheels of course for the old school theme.

Base stereo of course, nothing more needs to be said about the factory subwoofer; I rarely turn the music on in my driver anyway, mostly to see if it still works.

No color really seemed right to me for the calipers with the Heritage paint; your gray choice probably best, standard black OK, red really clashes with the orange IMHO.

For those who were/are inclined to mod these, I like the subwoofer re-location and painted wheels/calipers in the Heritage colors.
