That is about right. Next boost options are,

1. Pulley and tune, about 15 to 17 psi
2. Whipple, most run 19, some 17, and up to 21 with race gas
3. TT the sky is the limit, but more peak HP than a blower at the same boost, by about 80 to 100 HP.

I am running the 21 with the Whipple and I am seeing 19 20psi a Mile Hi. We have no Oxygen up here! I run pump gas up here on the hill.

I own a GT500 and i was just wondering how come we have nearly the same motor and your cars are running 12 psi stock and ours are running 8 psi? Think ours can handle 12 stock?

Displacement is 5.4, but past that the motors are VERY different. side piston oilers, dry sump, heads, cross bracing in the block, twin injectors per rail are only the begining of some of the MAJOR differences...... The valve covers are not even interchangable (500 has an oil filler cap, GT has a remote tank)

Yes, I was trying to focus on some of the deeper differences

Isn't it also a different Supercharger?

Your GT500 will handle more boost. Granted your tune is safe. Google performance mods for the GT500. There is a ton of mods for your car smaller pulleys bigger superchargers ect. Look at the Whipple, Kenny Bell:cheers

You bet it can handle it. I put a Kenne Bell on my GT500. Now around 15 pounds boost. With 93 octane around 705 RWHP ! Though different than the GT it is still a tough motor...:thumbsup

speaking of stock HP and boost. What is the max HP anyone has been able to get with tune only? Curious.....
