What have you done with your new Ford GT?

The car absolutely hates bumper to bumper traffic. You can sit and watch the fuel gauge drain. Very worrisome if you are out on the interstate miles from a fill up.

If your in traffic, try wet mode. It actually really slows everything down (smooths things). I use this to jockey the car (parking in the garage), or loading in a trailer.

FUEL LEVEL LOW. When I started up the car it said 20 miles remaining. When I arrived at the gas station it read "Warning: 9 miles left."

Same here... the dealer offered to have someone go fill it up and I said “uh, no!”

ROCK COLLECTING.

Ah, the pitter pattering sounds of little pebbles flying into the screens.
This sound was so terrifying when I first started driving the car. Now I don’t really notice it and after having the car on the lift, everything looks good even with no PPF underneath.

Specracer is spot on! I use wet mode for traffic, putting the car on a trailer and going in to the garage

That's an interesting idea.

The only thing you have to get used to is the accelerator pedal will need a further press, than you expect. Almost numb feeling. But the softness in the transmission / clutch action is whats the best for "crawling".

Does it mitigate the fuel usage?

So, I've been backing into the garage and it has not been liking the low speed in reverse. I will try the wet mode. Thanks!

Think of the brake pedal also acting as the clutch... when you press the brake, the DCT disengages. Use the brake as little as possible when backing up, and if the brake is depressed, wait until the transmission reengages before applying throttle. It sounds weird, but you’ll notice what I’m talking about.

Thanks! My first ownership of a DCT transmission equipped vehicle, so these tips are very helpful! Will explore further.

Doing a lil’ Texas thang with Rich Brooks, Special K, Iconic GT, Ferrari Slayer, Texas Mongrel, Silverbullit, Rick Mustang and others. For those of you that thought Rich was going to finish your car this week, it’s not going to happen. Me up front(blue), Iconic GT and Ferrari Slayer. We stopped in Luckenbach and a stranger walked up to me and airdropped me the pic.

Again, awesome 🤘 🍻

And this makes me feel better about my ho-hum run of the mill red GT: I see 5 gathered and the only red is calipers 😁

I took mine to the Brumos Collection in Jacksonville today (I volunteer at the gallery periodically) and even Don Leatherwood, longtime everything for Porsche/Brumos, said he had never seen one in red. And he has seen just about everything. Even though they are a high frequency color, I had never seen a red one before I bought mine. I love the color (of course!). Maybe they are hiding, or only come out at night.
