Busy weekend for NFGTs in Texas. We attend two events this weekend with our 2019 Carbon Series. Friday night was the Pit Parade function for Family Promise organization in New Braunfels, TX. Got lucky and dodged thunderstorms driving over and got the car inside before the storm hit. Had to go to the interior portion of the building during a brief period as the front passed through. A 2018 Heritage GT owned by Bluebonnet Ford was also present. The attendees really enjoyed the close-up viewing experience for the GTs.
Saturday morning we got up and drove up I-35 to San Marcos, TX for the inaugural Cory Morrow's Go Wheels Up Texas car show and air show at the San Marcos Regional Airport. The GT was entered in the exotics group and was the hit of the car show amongst the organizers and the public. People were amazed that we drove to the car show and stated this was the first time they had seen a NFGT. Many even said they never thought they'd never get to see one up close and in person. The two day event included an evening concert by varies acts and to start the concert portion they had the car show entries line up their cars and rev the engines on cue as directed by Cory Morrison before he started his show. He was pretty hyped up about the cars.
The end result was our carbon Series GT taking home "Best of Show Honors".
Glad to be part of the "Texas NFGT Family" who are out spreading the GT story.
