Oh how wrong you all are. Lets look at the physics of this whole argument.
Nielda makes a great argument, and being British he is required to offer the Kingdom's understanding of the issue, and we certainly enjoy such an exchange. I will take this up with him at the Royal Automobile Club later this season over some libation and with enough scientific fact to dispute his wayward thinking about red cars, (in a polite and respecful way, I promise). Red increases nitrous oxide release in the male not to dissimilar to the effect of Viagra's vasodilatation watching a lingerie show from Victoria's Secret around Valentine's Day showing off the latest Esposizione Rossa di Modo. Hence, the male's predisposition to mistakenly thinking red is a faster color. I believe, Henry Ford II, and his assortment of non red Ford GT40s, in 1966 proved the Ferrari Red was also a misconception of inherent speed related to color, n'est pas? (Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant came in 15th in this race in a Red GT40)

Black absorbs photons in light waves offering increased resistance moving through a medium like air. Red absorbs all colors encept red, which is near the infrared spectrum of light not too dissimilar to what is absorbed by black. So red cars are definitely faster than black cars. Tungsten, like silver cars are the same color as space capsules, satellites , airliners, etc. offer a reflectiive surface to light and hence the lowest absorbtion of light energy.

Hence, Tungsten and Silver cars are the fastest! White cars are in between, unless "bony" is driving one and then they are much slower. (the extra weight the Maker's Mark Whisky Manhattan Maker dispenser near the shift increases drag) :cheers

Listen guys, I am gonna put and end to this once and for ALL!!! The fastest color is TWIN TURBO TUNGSTEN!!! Andbody wanna test it, bring it on! :tap::tap:

Well, if we take this approach, then SoCal/TX Don has bragging rights with his TT Blue GT coming in at 235mph....though it's all alleged. :secret:

It's a tie!!! The fastest color is whatever color is sporting Twin Turbos. I think we should unanamously agree on the slowest color, which would be whatever color, if any, that has not been made into a TT. Are there any Silver TT's ? I think we may have found it. :cheers

If anyone wants to test which color is the fastest, come to Detroit. I'll show you :wink (I'm excluding like 6-7 people from this offer :lol )

I've seen his ride. Handicap = unplug one cylinder, now we're talkin'..... :biggrin

At breakfast, Don confessed that was a typo. It actually went 23.5 mph:rofl:rofl:rofl

I wanted to run the Whipple against the TT and his laimooo excuse was that he needed gas:willy:willy:willy

Black is composed of all colors of the rainbow, and it simply holds them, neither reflecting them nor showing them to the viewer

Sooooo if ya'll think your "color" is the fastest refer back to the above.... BLACK OWNES you......

The Black ones have to be the fastest they are the only ones that go so fast that fire come out the back of them. I know I saw it first hand and guess what was following the black one...Red, Blue and orange and every other color Ford made in the GT.

I started the thread and I just wrapped it up. The one above had silver stripes they just burnt off. Hope mine stay on.

I'm sorry to say most of you are wrong, but I was an engineer at NASA. Blue is the fastest. And, stripes improve laminar air flow over the car. So there.

I think Matech-Concepts has answered this question. They could have chosen any color. They chose the fastest.

Sounds like you are describing a bruise after getting beat up.

oouch, I didnt even realize that when I wrote it,

Isnt it true though that the dark color cars (blk and blue):biggrin have less coats of paint applied at the factory? therefore everything else being the same, less paint= less weight less weight=faster, stripes only add weight, get rid of them.:lol

Yes, correct. Also if the driver has a lot of hot air the car is lighter too. We all know that hot air is less dense. :lol

I think we should look at colors in a different way.

Here are colors of Whiskey that could be applied indirectly to speed of the FGT
